Hello! My name is Maria and I have a home-based family child care located in Alexandria, VA. I have over 17 years of child care experience. My child care is open from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. and I care for children as young as newborn through 13 years old. I offer both full-time and part-time child care including drop-in care. As well as, before and after school care for children up to 13 years old. If needed, transportation can be arranged. I provide a healthy meal plan for the children under my care. My child care follows a play-based learning philosophy, allowing children to learn through play. We offer a variety of learning activities for your children from high quality reading materials for children to practice their reading skills to arts and crafts, building blocks, and learning through music while singing and dancing. My child care recently received a grant from the PDG B-5 program (Preschool Development Grant Birth to five). It is an educational grant program designed to strengthen the early childhood education system and promote high quality experiences for young children. Receiving and participating in this grant allows me to offer high quality preparation to help your children.
