Welcome to Mt Zephyr Daycare, our licensed family child care and preschool program in Alexandria, VA. Our daycare and early childhood education facility is located near the Mt Zephyr neighborhood, right next to the Original Mount Vernon High School and George Washington Rec Center. We’re also near Richmond Hwy (US-1) and a 5 minutes’ drive from Old Mt Vernon Rd (route 235). Perfect for your daily commute to work!

I’m the owner of this nurturing family child care and preschool program, and I have 45 years of professional experience. I run the daycare with my assistant who has 30 years of experience. We’re both moms ourselves, so we know that you only want what is best for your child. If you choose us, we’ll make sure to treat your little one as if he/she was our own kid. In addition to our decades of child care and early education experience, we both hold a Bachelor's degree and CPR & First-aid certifications.

Mt Zephyr Daycare uses the Creative Curriculum and engages children in different stimulating activities, such as singing, reading, writing, etc. Our teachers also prepare a timetable/lesson plan as a guide to make learning more effective and structured. We speak Urdu and Hindi and upon request, we can teach your child these foreign languages in addition to English (though our daycare is not fully bilingual). Our home daycare is gated and fenced so kids are safe when they enter our facility. We offer a great space that is well-furnished and decorated, including a separate nap room and a fantastic playroom with bright carpets. The playroom features engaging wall decor and hanging learning curriculum. We provide toys for both infants and toddlers, including smaller toys, puzzles, and blocks. Toddlers can enjoy large trucks and kitchen sets, along with play centers designed for sensory activities. Children also enjoy our big backyard with a playground, which has swings and slides where they can run and play.

We’re open all year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our program offers full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages between 0 to 4 years old. If you’re only indeed of occasional child care, we can accommodate drop-in care. Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids (we’re close to Riverside Elementary School). We’re open all year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our program offers full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages between 0 to 4 years old. If you’re only indeed of occasional child care, we can accommodate drop-in care. Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids (we’re close to Riverside Elementary School). We have a stringent health and COVID-prevention procedure in place. We meticulously clean toys and tables after snack and lunch to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for your child.
