Vernon Lakes Children's Place is a Spanish bilingual daycare offering year-round care, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We provide full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 months, as well as for toddlers and preschoolers. We also offer before- and after-school care for children up to 13 years old, along with drop-in care for families who need occasional child care support. Our inclusive environment welcomes children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and we provide nutritious meals daily (included in tuition!) to ensure every child receives healthy, balanced nourishment throughout the day.

Hello parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver at Vernon Lakes Children's Place. With over 5 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher, a Child Development Associate's Degree, and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and MAT, I’m committed to providing a safe, loving, and enriching environment for your child. Caring for children brings me true joy. I love teaching, playing, and watching their unique personalities grow and shine. Running this home daycare in Alexandria allows me to follow my passion while also spending more time with my own child. Patience is one of my strengths, and I love seeing how kids focus and light up when discovering something new. Every day is full of laughter, curiosity, and learning, and I’m so grateful to be part of these early, formative years.

Our day begins with arrival and morning activities that spark curiosity and encourage hands-on learning, followed by a period of free play. During circle time, children build motor skills and practice social interaction through music, storytelling, and group learning. As a Spanish bilingual daycare, we incorporate songs, stories, and activities in both English and Spanish to support dual language development. In the afternoon, children enjoy a peaceful nap in our designated nap room. We also offer a private space for nursing and breastfeeding to support infants and their families. After naptime, we ease into quiet activities such as puzzles, story time, or gentle learning games.
