About Me
Founded in 2008, we offer a professional, secure, and fun child care program with an overall environment filled with love, learning and respect. One of my greatest passions is working with children. The ability to help, play, share with, and teach a child fills me with great satisfaction and joy. I am extremely proud to be a provider and be able to offer a child in their first years all the love, care, and intellectual stimulation that a child need in those first crucial years. My background in child care began here in the United States back in 1998 working for a Catholic Church Day Care (St. Gabriel’s). I then founded my own licensed family daycare. During all this time I attended different trainings and obtained my CDA (Child Development Associate National Credentials), my MAT (Medication Administration Training) and my CPR/First Aid Administration. I am a member of NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care).
Child Care Curriculum
My goal at Virginia Hills Bilingual Daycare is that every child learns through educative play. That is why each child is offered different experiences that stimulate their social, emotional and cognitive motor skills. Our daily activities include: free play time, structured play time, large and small motor skill activities, story time, arts and crafts, music and dance, outdoor activities (weather permitting), science, languages, and much more. All these activities depend on the ages and needs of each child in preparation for kindergarten and young lives. My meal plan program includes healthy options and is in accordance with the USDA food program. Your child would receive individual and professional attention, filled with love and respect, where every child would feel as if they were in a family setting. Call us; we would love to serve you!

This provider takes children's safety and childhood development very seriously. Her daycare is very organized. She seeks to keep challenging the kids while building a classroom that feels also like a family. My child loves her, and is learning to be caring, respectful, and helpful.

Our daughter has been with this provider for over a year now, and we are grateful for her unwavering attention to the safety and wellness of the children in her care. It gives us peace of mind knowing that she is in very capable hands, with people who are as dedicated as we are to keeping her safe. The provider and her two assistants are very warm and nurturing with the children, but also work to instill in them a sense of responsibility and respect from early on. She has a well thought out curriculum, engages the children in enriching activities, and makes certain they have plenty of outdoor time (weather permitting). Our daughter adores her teachers, and we feel fortunate to have her under their care!

I can't say enough great things about this provider. First and foremost, she loves these children and therefore cares so much about their health, well-being, and education. My daughter first joined this daycare at 4 months old, and is now almost two. Every day, she can't wait to go to "school". Her vocabulary is excellent - I can have a real conversation with her when I ask "what did you do at school today?". This is largely attributed to the time and attention this provider spends on individual AND group instruction. I am constantly impressed with how well my daughter knows her numbers, colors, shapes, days of week - some in Spanish too! Sincere thanks to these providers for being wonderful teachers!

My daughter has been with this provider since she was 3 months old. My daughter enjoys her time there and she is challenged to learn more all of the time. We are thankful to have access to such a warm, caring, and nurturing place for our little one.

I can't say enough good things about this provider. I echo the other reviewers in saying that the safety and well-being of the children are the teachers' top priority. They treat the children as if they were their own, and my son could not love his teachers more! He is learning Spanish along with his alphabet, numbers, and shapes and colors. He knows things that routinely amaze me, and I know he learned them at daycare. Look no further if you want your child to be loved, well taken care of, and prepared for preschool and/or kindergarten. We love Ms. A. and Ms. G.!!!

My child has been at this day care for almost two years and absolutely LOVES the teacher and her assistant. They are extremely caring and loving, and the children's safety is their highest priority. Every day, I can rest assured that my daughter is safe, well cared for and learning new things (including Spanish!). The day care is really like a little family. The children learn life skills such as sharing, waiting their turn, cleaning up, and being kind to one another. They learn manners such as saying "Please", "Thank you", and "Good morning". They also do puzzles, practice their letters and numbers, read books, create art, and play outside. I couldn't ask for more. If you want your child to feel safe, happy and loved, you can feel confident that this provider will deliver!

Our daughter began attending this facility at 3 months of age and continued until starting school at age 5. I would first like to point out that although the name of the business is a daycare, it really can be called a Preschool. Children are taught the basics at a very young age, learning numbers, letters and in some cases writing. At the age of 2, our daughter was counting in both English and Spanish languages. It is also important to note that our daughter has special needs, and expected by the mainstream establishment to be developmentally delayed. As my husband noted above, we have sought to treat our daughter as typical developing child. Our daughter thrived with this provider. Children have a schedule filled with appropriate teaching and activities for all age groups, including play time. They do not run amuck. Breakfast and lunch are also provided. I would highly recommend this provider when considering your childcare and preschool needs.

Our daughter started here when she was 7 months old and was in her care for approximately 5 years and she liked going to this provider the whole time. The provider has a Gentle yet firm countenance with all the children, which creates an overall atmosphere of respect. The children respect her and each other, creating calm and caring environment. There is planned day-to-day routine, with varying subject matter. Children respond positively to this schedule; They know what is expected of them and when. They do crafts and paint; Sage brought home a painting, drawing or craft almost every day, with extra special items for holidays etc..The provider takes them outside to play in her backyard playground everyday weather permitting, which the children love. We as parents have worked very hard and I can confidently say, “I know she has also worked very hard teaching and caring for our little girl and that she truly cared for her”. Our daughter has become a well-rounded little girl who can count, read, interact socially with her peers and displays great manners. I almost forgot to mention that Sage has Down’s Syndrome; We don't treat this as a handicap and keep high expectation of her, which she always lives up to. This provider has had the same philosophy; Never letting Sage get away with less, and never asking us for [redacted] closing, I would like to say that I truly trust this provider and felt comfortable knowing Sage was in her care.

We have sent two children to this daycare. It is a safe, caring place where our kids have thrived. When my older daughter went to preschool she was well-prepared academically and socially. It is clear that this provider and her assistants love all the children. My kids are happy, and that is so important to us.

Highly recommend this provider for child care and child development. Lillie loved being there, learned so much both education and interaction with other kids. We recommend her to all our friends relocating to the DC area. You won't find anyone more caring or more dedicated to the health, safety, and positive nurturing environment than this provider! Our 7 year old still talks about her time there, what she learned and the friends she made. Lillie started here at 8 weeks old and stayed until we moved overseas at age 4--she was well ahead of her peers in interaction, writing, reading, and counting. We even elected to have her stay instead of going to a preschool because she took the time to have a learning curriculum, had built the resources and learning tools (games, flash cards, music), and provided the one-on-one development that helped Lillie grow into an independent and happy young girl! We 100% endorse this provider as a caregiver to place your trust and confidence.
