Laila's Childcare, Alexandria

As a childcare provider and former teacher, I understand just how important the first five years are of a child's life. At Laila's Childcare Services, an in-home, high-quality childcare program, your child will spend his or her day in a loving, nurturing, and learning environment, sharing experiences with no more than four other children, ranging from ages 0 to 5. My goal is to ensure that every child will be ready for pre-k and kindergarten before leaving Laila's Childcare Services. Laila's Childcare Services has been awarded a Certificate of Quality by Virginia Quality, the state's quality rating and improvement system. I have 26 years of teaching experience, of which 14 years are in the field of childcare. Prior to my current role as provider at Laila's Childcare Services, I worked for various childcare centers in New Castle, Delaware and as a substitute teacher, working with Head Start and kindergarten students, at Fairfax County Public Schools. I have also worked as a bi-lingual-paraprofessional at New York City Public Schools and as a bilingual-special education paraprofessional for the Board of Cooperative Educational Services in Long Island, New York. I hold a Master of Arts (M.A) in Urdu, a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, given by the Council for Professional Recognition and through an assessment by the CDA National Credentialing Program. I am also trained in CPR, First Aid, and MAT. Laila's Childcare Services is conveniently located near exit 3B off of Route 395, by Little River Turnpike and Beauregard Street in Alexandria, Virginia - not too far from Washington, D.C.
