Welcome to Island Creek Cozy Corner! We are a licensed, home-based daycare located in the heart of the Island Creek subdivision in Alexandria, VA. Our convenient location just off Morning View Ln and Beulah St offers easy access to Telegraph Rd (SR 611) and Fairfax County Pkwy (SR 286), and we’re just minutes from Island Creek Elementary School and Island Creek Park.
Program:
Our in-home daycare operates year-round, offering a family-oriented, intimate environment, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We provide both full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 4 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 3 years of age. To ensure the safety of all children, we ensure to maintain a peanut and tree-nut-free space.
About Me:
Hello Parents! I’m the owner and primary caregiver at Island Creek Cozy Corner. I have over 8 years of hands-on experience in child care. I also hold an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. My journey in child care began when I volunteered at my mother’s daycare, where I learned just how special it is to help children grow and learn, and to support them during their most important developmental years.
A top priority of mine is the safety and well-being of your little ones, and as such, I’m also certified in CPR and First Aid. I’m deeply committed to creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment where every child feels supported and excited to learn each day. At Island Creek Cozy Corner, every day is filled with care, learning, and lots of smiles, I can’t wait to welcome your family!

At Island Creek Cozy Corner, we nurture children through a Montessori-based approach, thoughtfully blended with play-based learning. Designed with little learners in mind, we’ve created a space where children feel comfortable being themselves and right at home.

This is a wonderful daycare where our child’s dynamic and growing needs are taken care of with great care. We have never had any problems, and we think the curriculum, indoor and outdoor spacing, meal program, and the teachers are fantastic.

My son has been with this provider and her team since he was 11 months old and he is excelling in every way for his age group. The staff is very caring towards the kids. It is a very safe and clean environment.

The owner and her team provide incredible care and offer the communication and investment parents hope for from the individuals looking after their little one! We feel so lucky to have found this caregiver and to have had her care for our daughter since she was four months old. The care our daughter has received has been excellent. The provider, the main caregiver, is first and foremost very sweet, gentle, and attentive to our baby. As first time parents my spouse and I were nervous about starting daycare, but this provider makes us feel confident that our son is well-cared for. We have only been with this daycare for a couple of months but so far everything is going very well and we are happy.

We absolutely love this daycare! Our daughter is always excited when we arrive and is in great spirits when we leave. The facility is clean and bright. The providers are amazing; they are very nurturing and responsive. It’s very personalized and we, as parents, have a lot of “control” as to our child’s schedule and wishes (e.g., naps, feedings, etc.) that you might not get at a bigger daycare center.

My son loves going to school everyday. He adores his teachers and learns something new all the time. He loves when his teacher takes him for the day which makes my heart so happy.
He’s never hungry, over tired or has diaper rash after school. Therefore I know they’re taking great care of him.
Easy to communicate with, reliable, and always so nice at drop off/pick up. This is our first daycare experience and it’s been wonderful.

My son is 11 months and loves going to school! He’s so excited to see his teachers and that warms my heart. If the apple I boil is too hard, they boil it a little more. If his skin is dry, they put Aquaphor on it. They treat my son very well. I couldn’t ask for more.
The home is so cute and clean! Great toys and activities. The kids get to go outside frequently. I’m grateful we found this daycare.

We love this provider and our son is very happy at her daycare. Since attending he has become more vocal and is always smiling when we pick him up. This provider takes great care of our son, does activities with him like drawing and painting, and has even given us a progress report to let us know how our son was doing after starting daycare.
