Welcome to Annandale Acres Children's Den, my bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Annandale, VA! Our child care facility is located in the Annandale Acres neighborhood, right off Backlick Rd and Ravensworth Rd. Our location is very convenient since I have easy access to Little River Turnpike (route 236), Braddock Rd (route 620), and the Capital Beltway (I-495). Perfect for your daily commute to work!
About Us:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this high-quality child care and early childhood education program. I’m a licensed caregiver and I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I run my daycare with my 3 assistants, and we’re all CPR & First-aid certified. Our teachers are well trained to help each student develop their valuable skills and prepare them for school. We’re committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment where your child can learn and feel loved.
Curriculum:
Annandale Acres Children's Den offers a bilingual Spanish child care program, so children are taught to learn the Spanish language. We incorporate a STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and our program is tailored to each child's emotional, physical, and intellectual needs.
We engage our students in various age-appropriate activities to foster their language/reading, problem-solving, socio-emotional, creativity, and motor skills. Our classrooms are designed to give every child an equal opportunity to grow and flourish at their own pace. Here, we learn together, play and have fun together, and discover how enjoyable learning can be!
Program:
We’re open all year-round from 7:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 1 month and 5 years old, including children with special needs. We’re part of the USDA food program and we serve peanut free lunch and snacks to all kids attending our program (included in the tuition). For older kids up to 12 years old, we can provide before and after school care (our home is close to Braddock Elementary School and Annandale Terrace Elementary School).

I feel so grateful to have found this facility. We took our daughter out of a larger daycare when the pandemic hit but when I had to go back to work in person full time we wanted to find something smaller. I love that they get outdoors often. I love having the app to be able to check in and to get to see pictures. This provider has been taking care of our 3-year-old son for nearly a year now, and he absolutely loves going to see her each morning. She is incredibly dedicated and caring, and she is very knowledgeable about early childhood development. This provider always responds to our questions and concerns thoroughly and in a timely manner. She loves the kids in her care like her own. We are so lucky to have found her!

Due to the pandemic we decided to switch from a large daycare center to a smaller home daycare facility. We were lucky enough to find this facility! Our girls have loved their time with this provider, from ages 3 to 5. The facility is comfortable and welcoming, they have their favorite spots and activities, and they're (cheerful and happy when they get picked up. I highly recommend.
