H.O.P.E. Academy and the Huber Child Development Center is an exciting place of learning where a Christian revolution in traditional education is underway. We expect excellence! Our Purpose: The purpose of H.O.P.E. Academy is to provide a quality education in a Christian environment and to promote the principle that excellence is a noble and achievable goal. We believe that we are all made in God’s image and that each child has a value regardless of race, culture or nationality. The education of each child is the responsibility of both the parent and the school. Each child at H.O.P.E. Academy will develop a sense of personal responsibility through hard work and self discipline. H.O.P.E. Academy is not just another school. It is the fruit of a mustard seed-sized faith that was sown in 1983 by the leaders and members of the Huber Memorial Church. With the vision, the people of God were given a mind to work; and God Himself made this dream a reality. H.O.P.E. Academy is not just another school. We have observed over the years a weakening of the family, a deterioration of the public schools, and a detachment of the Church from the community in which it is located. We recognize this as a potential crisis for all three (3) institutions. If it is true (and it is) that the family is the foundation building block for the community and the nation–then as Christians we must assume the responsibility of preserving the family. If it is true (and it is) that education is still the most direct road to greater opportunity and full equality in America–then as Christians we must assume the responsibility of providing educational excellence without excuses. If it is true (and it is) that the strongest, most viable, and most independent institution in our community is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ-then as Christians we must assume the responsibility of re-creating real community and anchoring it in Faith.
