Welcome to Fairview Manor Kids Playhouse, our licensed daycare and preschool in Bowie, MD. Located in the heart of the Fairview Manor community, we’re near Church Rd and John Hanson Hwy (US 50). For parents commuting to work, we’re also just a few minutes from Collington Rd (MD 197) and Crain Hwy (US 301), making drop-off and pick-up more convenient for local families.

Program Information:

Our home-based child care program serves infants as young as 12 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We offer full-time care, before-school care for school-aged children up to 12 years old, summer camp when schools are closed, and drop-in care for occasional child care needs.

We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. If you need a slightly later pick-up, such as 6:00 pm, please inquire. We also offer a Date Night option with evening care for a few hours, so parents can enjoy time out while knowing their child is in a safe and caring environment 😊

About Me:

I am the proud owner and caregiver of Fairview Manor Kids Playhouse, and I am dedicated to providing a warm, structured, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn each day. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and my passion for early childhood education began in high school while tutoring children. That experience inspired me to pursue a path in early childhood care.

My previous experience in healthcare, especially in the emergency department caring for infants and children, has given me a strong understanding of child safety and well-being. I am also trained in CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training), helping me maintain a safe environment where your child’s health and happiness are always a priority.

I truly enjoy being part of children’s early development, and it is incredibly rewarding to watch them learn new things, build friendships, and grow in independence. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to explore their creativity. Through a caring approach, I am dedicated to fostering a love of learning and helping every child blossom.

Curriculum & Philosophy:

We believe in a holistic approach to early childhood education and use elements of the Waldorf teaching philosophy. Each day follows a consistent, thoughtfully planned routine that helps children feel secure and confident as they grow. Our program balances structured learning with play and includes activities such as letters, numbers, colors, crafts, sensory exploration, and early reading and writing, along with outdoor time when the weather allows.

Whether children are learning new words, exploring through hands-on activities, or enjoying time outside, our daily routine is designed to support curiosity, creativity, and early learning. In addition to English, I also speak Urdu and Punjabi, and upon parents’ request, I can introduce children to these languages.

Families in our community choose our program for the caring, home-like environment we provide. Clear communication, cleanliness, safety, and organization are always priorities, and every child receives genuine attention and care.

Facility Information:

Fairview Manor Kids Playhouse operates in a large, welcoming single-family home with an entire level dedicated to child care. This spacious setup gives children plenty of room to explore, play, and grow. The space includes a cozy library area, a multipurpose room, and a separate nap room.

Children also enjoy our fenced backyard and outdoor playground, which offer great opportunities for active play and outdoor fun.
