Welcome to Burke Lake Children's Den! We are a bilingual French home daycare and preschool in Burke, VA, located in the Bent Tree neighborhood. Our family child care program is right off Lee Chapel Rd (SR 643) and Shiplett Blvd, with quick access to Burke Lake Rd (SR 645), Old Keene Mill Rd, and Fairfax County Pkwy (SR 286). We are also close to White Oaks Elementary School, making us a convenient option for families looking for child care or preschool in Burke, VA.

Program:

Burke Lake Children's Den is open year-round and offers flexible care options, including 24-hour child care, 7 days a week! 😲 We are here to support families in our community with quality child care that can fit many different schedules, including daytime, overnight care, weekend care, and occasional drop-in care.

We welcome infants as young as 2 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Our standard hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm but can offer flexible options.

Child Care Schedule Options:

🌸 Overnight Care: 6:00 pm to 7:30 am

🌸 Weekend Care: Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm

🌸 Drop-in Care: Flexible, occasional child care when you need support

We provide nutritious lunches and snacks daily for all children attending Burke Lake Children's Den, and meals are included in tuition. As a participant in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), we are committed to serving healthy, balanced meals that meet federal nutrition standards. To help keep children safe, we also maintain a peanut- and tree nut-free environment.

About Me:

I am the owner and main caregiver of this intimate family child care and early childhood education program. I have over 8 years of professional child care experience, a Bachelor's Degree in French Literature, and 8 years of teaching experience at another licensed facility before opening Burke Lake Children's Den.

As a mom myself, I understand how difficult it can be to entrust your little one to someone else's care. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where both you and your child feel comfortable and confident. Your child's safety is always my highest priority, and for your peace of mind, I am CPR and First Aid certified.

Curriculum & Facilities:

At Burke Lake Children's Den, I offer a bilingual French preschool and daycare program that introduces children to both English and French through fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities. Early exposure to a second language is a wonderful opportunity that can support children's cognitive and language development. In addition to English and French, I also speak Arabic, and I would be happy to discuss possible language exposure based on your family's needs.

My daycare follows a play-based learning approach that encourages children to explore, create, and build confidence through hands-on experiences and meaningful play. To support every part of your child's day, I provide a dedicated nap room for restful sleep, a piano to introduce children to the joy of music, and a fully fenced backyard with a garden where children can safely play, explore nature, and enjoy outdoor activities.

My mission with Burke Lake Children's Den is to support families in Fairfax County by providing high-quality child care and early education in a warm, enriching environment at an affordable rate.
