We're open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants starting as young as newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 6 years old. We also provide after-school care for school-aged children.
At Woodbridge Valley Discovery House, we warmly welcome children with diverse needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. We encourage families to contact us through CareLuLu to discuss their child's individual needs so we can work together to determine how best to support them and ensure a positive experience in our care.
Every child in our care enjoys healthy, nutritious meals daily, all included in the tuition! Our meals are prepared in a peanut- and tree-nut-free kitchen to help protect children with nut allergies.
To help make quality child care more affordable for Catonsville families, we accept eligible child care vouchers and subsidies. We also offer special discounts for families enrolling siblings, parents who are teachers, and military families.
Hello, parents! 👋 I'm the proud owner and main caregiver at Woodbridge Valley Discovery House. As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to find a daycare where you feel comfortable and confident leaving your little one. I have more than 5 years of child care experience working as an assistant at a licensed daycare center, along with CPR and First Aid certifications. This experience has given me valuable knowledge and skills to help support children's growth and development.
Beyond providing quality care, I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with families through open communication, respect, and partnership. I never take for granted the trust parents place in me when leaving their little ones in my care, and I'm committed to making every child feel comfortable, happy, and excited to learn each day. My greatest hope is to make a positive and lasting difference in every child's life.
At Woodbridge Valley Discovery House, our mission is to provide a warm, nurturing, home-like environment where children are cared for as if they were our own. Our small-group setting allows us to give each child individual attention and take the time to understand their unique personality, interests, and developmental needs.
We believe children learn best through play, creativity, exploration, and everyday experiences. Our program offers opportunities to develop essential skills in early math, science, language, art, music, movement, social-emotional learning, and independence. Just as importantly, we want to nurture kindness, curiosity, confidence, and respect for others. We encourage every child to grow at their own pace, discover their interests, and create happy memories in a place that feels like a home away from home.
Our days at Woodbridge Valley Discovery House are filled with opportunities for children to learn, play, and discover through fun, age-appropriate activities. These may include reading picture books, creating art, singing songs, dancing, exploring early math and science concepts, enjoying sensory activities, and engaging in pretend play. When the weather allows, we also enjoy outdoor activities such as obstacle course games, nature walks, and visits to nearby parks.
We also welcome opportunities to celebrate different languages and cultures. Our staff are fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and Urdu, and with parents' interest and permission, we can introduce these languages to children through simple words, songs, and everyday interactions.
We understand that every child is unique and learns at their own pace, so we adapt our activities to each child's age, developmental level, abilities, and individual needs. For example, one child may practice counting objects while another explores colors and shapes. Some children may enjoy finger painting, while others work on more detailed art projects.
We also encourage independence and responsibility through simple, age-appropriate tasks such as washing hands, putting away belongings, using utensils, and helping clean up after activities. These everyday experiences help children build confidence, develop important life skills, and feel proud of what they can accomplish. Above all, we want every child to feel valued, supported, and excited to learn something new each day.
Thank you for considering Woodbridge Valley Discovery House for your child's early education! If you're looking for a daycare or preschool in Catonsville, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us through CareLuLu to ask questions or schedule a tour. I can't wait to meet you and your child! 🤗
