Welcome to Little River Commons Playhouse in Chantilly, VA! Nestled in the family-friendly neighborhood of Little River Commons, our licensed daycare and preschool offers a convenient location just minutes from the intersection of Gum Spring Road (SR 659) and Braddock Road (SR 620). We’re right off Banff Spring Pl and Waldo Cir, near the Little River Commons Playground.
Program:
Our year-round in-home child care program is open Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 1 month old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 4 years of age. We also welcome children with speech delays. For families needing occasional support, we provide flexible drop-in care as well.
About Me:
Hello, dear parents! I'm the owner and primary caregiver at Little River Commons Playhouse, and I’m so glad you’re considering us. Caring for children is truly my passion. As both a mother and an educator, I’ve spent the last 35 years nurturing little ones, and it brings me joy every single day. There’s just something so special about watching them grow, learn, and light up with happiness.
Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships with many families, some of whom I still stay in touch with. It means a lot when parents tell me how much they trust the care I provide. I see each child and their family as an extension of my own family, and that connection is something I truly cherish.
Philosophy:
At Little River Commons Playhouse, our goal is to create a positive, stress-free environment for both children and parents. We want every child to feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves in a space filled with laughter, learning, and warmth. It’s important to us that everyone feels like they belong here.
Safety is also one of our top priorities. I am CPR and First Aid certified, giving you added peace of mind. In addition to English, I’m fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, and I’m happy to introduce your child to another language and culture if requested!
Daily Activities:
Each day is thoughtfully planned with a balance of structured learning and fun:
- Morning: We begin with breakfast, followed by playtime and educational activities.
- After Lunch: Children enjoy circle time with stories, arts and crafts, followed by a nap.
- Afternoon: If the weather allows, we end the day with outdoor play in our fenced backyard to encourage movement and exploration.

This provider is the absolute best. We could not have dreamed of a better childcare provider. She treats our twins like there were her own, and that is no exaggeration. We absolutely love this home daycare! The caregiver treats every child like family. My child has grown so much socially and academically since starting here. My two sons were in her care for several years. She is a fantastic provider and went above and beyond the scope of a childcare provider and truly nurtured my children. She had a special bond with both of them, but really connected with Mikey as she began caring for him when he was just an infant. I always knew they were safe and well-loved when they were in her care.

She is a magnificent woman. She provided such amazing care for my children. Her hours were so convenient for working parents. Every morning at dropoff, she greeted us at the door with a huge smile. My kids thrived in her home and received such warm and loving care! She is a true gem and you will not be disappointed with her care. She will treat your children like one of her own. Truly one of a kind.

This caregiver was god sent for me with my first child. I was very nervous to send my 14 month old to full time day care, but the minute I walked into her daycare and met her I had a very positive feeling. The owner and her family are the best! My daughter was with her for 2 years. We found out about her through a good friend of mine who assured us she was the best. My daughter went in unable to speak too much, but came out later with the strongest vocabulary. My husband and I were stunned. She is the best of the best and so caring! She is the one you want to help you raise your children. We love and miss you!!

She is amazing. She treated our son like family. The facility is beautiful. He went to her from age 1 to 2.5. The only reason he stopped going there was due to a move. He thrived whilst he was there and she helped us to potty train him and to make sure he tried different foods and ate well. even after he no longer went to her he would still ask for her so we still visit her sometimes. Both my kids were privileged to have her as their “daycare mom” from baby until preschool. She is attentive, caring, and treats every child as her own. Our children learned so much and were ahead of their peers when they were in preschool socially and academically. If you are looking for a provider and daycare that is safe and accommodating to parents and teaches good values, social skills, and age appropriate learning, you’ve found your place.
