Woodfield Bilingual Spanish Playhouse is a nurturing home daycare in Damascus, MD. This small family child care program is nestled in a quiet residential community near Woodfield Rd, Ridge Rd (route 27) and Main St (just a few minutes away from Dollar Tree, Shoppers and the Damascus Shopping Center).

Hi parents, I’m the owner and main caregiver and I hold an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and CPR & First-aid certifications. I also have almost 40 years of experience in child care and early childhood education so, you can be confident that your little one will be well taken care of :) Like you, I’m a parent, so I know how hard it is to leave your baby with someone while you’re away working. Be assured that I always treat every child in my care as if there were my own. I’m a loving and trustworthy child care provider who always enjoy working with kids and families :)

Woodfield Bilingual Spanish Playhouse uses the Mothergoose Curriculum and follows the Play-based learning approach. I engage my little students in fun, educational activities like doing art projects (i.e. egg carton caterpillars). My goal is to help them become independent and critical thinkers when they leave my program. I also offer a bilingual Spanish daycare program, which is a good opportunity for your little one to become bilingual at a very young age (I speak more Spanish than English, and can also offer a full Spanish Immersion child care environment, if preferred). Parents love that their children are learning Spanish at a very young age!

My space feels like a learning center, but also welcoming and intimate. The play area is separate from the nap room to cut down on disturbing those who are sleeping. I invested in my facility to make it more inviting for children - it has great wall color and decor, I have a birthday board, pictures of each child, learning posters throughout the space, instructional materials about manners, kindness, and emotions, and learning stations. I have a lot of age-appropriate toys and learning materials and they are well-organized (i.e., there are bins for puzzles and blocks and a separate section for arts & crafts).

I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 3 months and 5 years old, including children with special needs. Peanut and tree-nut free snacks are included in the tuition and served to all kids attending our program. I also offer before and school care for school-age kids up to 12 years old (I’m near Damascus Elementary School). I’m open all throughout the year between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
