Welcome to Kiels Gardens Children's Place! We’re a licensed, home-based daycare and preschool located in the heart of the Kiels Gardens neighborhood in Fairfax, VA. Our convenient location near Lee Highway (US-29), Main Street (SR-236), and Fairfax Boulevard (US-50) makes drop-off and pick-up a breeze for busy families. We’re also just 5 minutes from the I-66 and only 2 miles from Fairfax Villa Elementary School; an ideal location for families seeking high-quality child care in Fairfax, VA.

Program:

Kiels Gardens Children's Place is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer both full-time and part-time child care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, starting as young as 1 month and up to 5 years of age.

Fresh, nutritious snacks and lunches are included in the tuition and prepared daily. Each meal is prepared using only fresh ingredients, no frozen foods are used in our daycare!

About Me:

Hello Parents! I'm the proud owner and main caregiver at Kiels Gardens Children's Place. As a mother of 3 and a certified caregiver (CPR, First Aid, and MAT), I’ve spent over a decade working with young children and understand how important it is to find a place where your little one feels safe, supported, and loved.

Before opening my own daycare, I served as a lead teacher in a child care center for more than 5 years. That experience helped me create a warm, engaging environment where children are not just cared for, but encouraged to grow, explore, and express themselves. This is more than a daycare, it’s a nurturing community built on trust, empathy, and genuine care.

Philosophy

At Kiels Gardens Children's Place, we believe that caring for children is a calling, not just a job. Every child brings unique curiosity and creativity into the world, and our mission is to nurture those qualities in a safe, loving space. We focus on learning through play, exploration, and meaningful connection.

We also believe that strong, open communication with parents is just as important. A collaborative relationship between caregivers and families allows us to better understand and support each child’s development. Being a part of your child’s early years is a privilege we hold with great care and responsibility.

Curriculum:

Our curriculum is built on a deep understanding of early childhood development, blending professional training with real-world experience. We focus on nurturing each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth in a fun, engaging way. With a low child-to-provider ratio, we offer personalized attention tailored to each child’s needs. In addition to English, I also speak Urdu, and can introduce your child to this language upon request.

Our daily activities include hands-on learning, play-based exploration, and age-appropriate educational experiences designed to support confidence and key skills. Whether your child is building early math and literacy abilities or exploring the world through art and science, we aim to give every child the strong start they deserve! We also want parents to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing their child is in loving, capable hands.

Daily Routine:

Our daily schedule is carefully crafted to support well-rounded development (cognitive, emotional, social, and physical), while helping children feel engaged, secure, and valued. The day begins with a calm, welcoming arrival, followed by quiet morning activities like reading, building, or drawing. Free play encourages creativity and social connection, and group circle time brings everyone together through songs, stories, and themed discussions.

Children enjoy nutritious snacks and meals throughout the day and rotate through fun, educational learning stations focused on art, sensory exploration, early literacy and math, science, and imaginative play. Outdoor time (weather permitting) offers space for physical activity and connection with nature.

In the afternoon, children rest during nap or quiet time, followed by more engaging activities such as music, movement, science, cooking, crafts, or group games. We end the day with indoor or outdoor physical play and a relaxing story-time, helping your child transition smoothly to pick-up. This consistent, balanced routine ensures that every child experiences enrichment, care, and joy throughout their day.
