Dear parents, thank you for considering Lake Fairfax Estates Playhouse for your child’s early learning and care. Nestled in the quiet and peaceful Lake Fairfax Estates neighborhood, our daycare is just off Braddock Rd (Route 620) and a short distance from Shirley Gate Rd and Ox Rd (Route 123). Our in-home child care and preschool program is dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing environment where your little ones can thrive!

Our Program

Lake Fairfax Estates Playhouse offers full-time and part-time care options, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. We welcome children as young as 4 weeks old up to 5 years old, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Whether you’re looking for a nurturing child care facility for your newborn or an engaging preschool program to prepare your child for kindergarten, we’re here to help your family.

Our Caregiver

I’m the owner and caregiver of this small, intimate daycare. I’m a mom of two wonderful children and have 12 years of experience in child care. Being a child care provider isn’t just my job, it’s my passion. I find joy and satisfaction in watching each child grow, explore, and develop their unique personalities. Your child’s happiness and well-being are my top priorities!

Our Facility

Safety and comfort are our top priorities, so our child care facility is equipped with video cameras. The spacious multipurpose room allows for a variety of activities, from arts and crafts to interactive learning sessions. Our large fenced backyard and outdoor play area provide space for children to enjoy fresh air. Physical activity and outdoor play are essential for a healthy development, and most importantly, to have fun!

Daily Activities

At Lake Fairfax Estates Playhouse, we follow a play-based teaching philosophy that emphasizes learning through exploration and hands-on activities. Each day includes a balance of structured and free play, ensuring that every child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.

A typical day includes engaging story time to spark imagination and foster a love for reading, playtime both indoors and outdoors for exploration and skill development, nutritious meals and snacks provided (included as part of the tuition), and a peaceful nap time to ensure children stay happy and healthy.

I can say with confidence that she will always put your children’s wellbeing first. We are first time parents and started our daughter at this daycare when she was 3 months and during our time this provider was nothing but adoring and nurturing to Emma. I highly recommend this caregiver. She looked after our baby boy from the age of 3 months and I was very comfortable with the level of care and support we received. Her passion to provide the best environment for nurturing is invaluable. Here facilities are modern and extremely clean.

My daughter has been attending the daycare from the age of 2 years and is very happy. The activities are wonderful and my daughter is actively engaged throughout the day. The caregiver is very sweet, caring and flexible and we are more than happy to give her an A+ recommendation to parents. Her daycare is extremely clean and spacious.

I've seen this caregiver interact with other children and she's not only welcoming and friendly, but also honest, open, and trustworthy. We love this caregiver. She has cared for my two boys in the past. She is incredibly patient, nurturing and attentive. She emits the kind of patients and love you would want your child to have in your absence. My children a few years older now routinely still ask to stop to visit when we drive past. And if we see them out and about she is bombarded with hugs. I highly recommend her to other families.
