Program & Location:

Hello and welcome to Providence Playhouse, my in-home daycare and preschool program in Fairfax, VA! My facility is very conveniently located since we're accessible from the I-66 Express Lanes, and also near Fairfax Blvd (route 50) and Waple Mill Rd. We are right off Jermantown Road, in the Gainsborough Court complex, 2 minutes away from Providence Elementary School.

We are open year-round, operating from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Our program provides full-time and part-time care for infants (as young as newborn babies) as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 4 years old. I also provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all children in my care (all included in the tuition, of course!) Meals are all peanut-free and tree nut-free to eliminate any possible allergy concerns.

About Me:

I am the owner and primary caregiver of Providence Playhouse I have over 14 years of child care experience, from babysitting for my relatives to working in a school where I was always surrounded by many kids of different ages. I would talk with them during my break, laughing and sharing stories. I loved every minute of it, and so, taking my passion for caring for children and being around them, I decided to open my own daycare!

With two kids of my own, you can be assured that your child will be treated like a part of the family. I’ll be there to help navigate through daily hurdles and challenges but, most importantly, celebrate successes and accomplishments together. I want you and your child to feel like you are an extension of my family! Your child will be safe in my hands since I am C.P.R. and First Aid certified.

Curriculum & Philosophy:

At Providence Playhouse, my primary focus is to help your child thrive during their early years of development. We use the play-based teaching philosophy and will enjoy activities such as arts and crafts, story time, music, movement, and daily morning circle time. If the weather permits, we’ll head outside to have fun in the community playground. Should you wish to introduce another language to your child's development, I am fluent in Arabic and Amharic.

Incorporating educational activities with creative play will help foster each child's cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development. There will also be time to rest in our nap room, ensuring that all aspects of your child’s well-being are cared for! Part of our program is having an active partnership with the parents. I'll maintain contact with you for every progress and milestone, keeping you fully involved with your child!
