Welcome to Fair Lakes Cozy Corner, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Fairfax, VA. We’re nestled in the vibrant Greens of Fair Lakes neighborhood, just off Fair Lakes Blvd with convenient access to Stringfellow Road (SR 645), Fair Lakes Pkwy and the I-66.

Program:

We offer year-round child care in Fairfax for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Our program includes full-time and part-time options for children as young as 6 weeks old up to 5 years of age. We also provide before- and after-school care for school-aged children (we're a short drive from Poplar Tree Elementary School).

Children enjoy healthy, well-balanced meals each day, already included in tuition. All food is prepared in a peanut- and tree nut-free environment, ensuring the safety of children with allergies and giving parents peace of mind.

About Me:

Hello, parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver of Fair Lakes Cozy Corner. With over 20 years of child care experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, I’m passionate about nurturing young minds in a loving, secure space. I’m also certified in CPR, and First Aid, so your child’s safety is always a priority.

My journey began when my son was born. I couldn’t find a daycare that offered the warmth and personal attention I envisioned, so I created it myself. After 5 years as an early childhood teacher, I opened Fair Lakes Cozy Corner. What started as a solution for my own family soon became a calling to support other parents and help their children flourish.

This home daycare is built from both the heart of a parent and the dedication of a professional educator. I take pride in offering a space where children feel at home and where families feel confident in their choice of care.

Healthy meals and snacks encourage independence and healthy habits, while outdoor play (weather permitting) provides fresh air, movement, and fun. We also incorporate yoga and themed activities based on exciting topics like seasons, animals, or community helpers.

After lunch, children rest or participate in quiet activities to recharge. The afternoon brings creative expression through imaginative play, STEAM projects, and collaborative art. A second outdoor session allows for more energy release before we wind down with story time and reflection.
