Clopper Lake Bilingual Chinese Daycare, Gaithersburg

Dear parents, welcome to Clopper Lake Bilingual Chinese Daycare, our family child care and preschool program in Gaithersburg, MD. We are a mother and daughter team with 25 years of combined child care experience. My mother is the owner and main caregiver, and I am the assistant and English teacher. We’re both CPR, first aid, and MAT certified and my mother is also a certified nursing assistant. We also have experience caring for children with special needs. Our home daycare is a bilingual Chinese-English program so your little one will have an opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese. We have a fusion-based philosophy combining traditional Chinese teachings and a Christian-based program. We also use Montessori approach with lots of hands on educational activities. We also utilize cutting edge AR (Augmented Reality) toys to help children understand and visualize information.

My mother and I noticed that a lot of children around us were no longer having the age appropriate play they need, and that so many parents/guardians and care takers were just putting their children in front of the TV/ tablet/ cell phone. We understand parents are busy making sure their little ones are taken care of, but they miss out on so much on them growing up. We wanted to bring back some of the traditional learning methods, combined with modern teaching. That's why we decided to open our own daycare and preschool. While we can't change the world, we can change the life of 8 children at a time. Because even a little change is a start. Making sure that while mom and dad are out working hard, they know that we are like a home away from home for their little one. We want to let children grow and develop naturally and be creative with their imaginations. Children should be allowed to just children: be happy and enjoy themselves, and not be "little adults", because they will have plenty of time to be an adult later in life!

Clopper Lake Bilingual Chinese Daycare is open Monday-Friday, from 7am to 7pm. In addition to our standard hours, we also offer extended care that can start as early as 6am. Upon request, we can also offer evening care and overnight child care (please note that the standard tuition is for standard hours, 7am-7pm; please email to inquire about extended care rates.) We offer full-time and part-time daycare for infants (as young as 6 weeks) and toddlers. We also have a preschool program for children up to 5 years old. Healthy lunch and snack are provided to the children in our care (included in the tuition), and if needed, we can also provide breakfast and dinner. Our bilingual Chinese-English child care program is off Clopper Rd (near Clopper Lake), close to the Metropolitan Grove MARC station in Gaithersburg, MD.
