Hi parents, welcome to Darnestown Kids Playhouse, my home daycare in Gaithersburg, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I’m a mother of 3 children with 14 years of child care experience (including 7 years working in a child care center, and 7 years running my own family child care program). I am CPR and first-aid certified and also have my MAT certification (so when necessary, I can administer medication to your little one.)
My daycare operates from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Catering to infants as young as 6 weeks old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 6 years old, I offer both full-time and part-time options. Additionally, occasional drop-in child care is available based on individual needs.
Promoting a vibrant learning atmosphere, our child care space includes bright carpets, engaging wall decor, and a visible learning curriculum. Bins of blocks, puzzles, and various activity sets cater to infants and younger toddlers. The environment is well-lit, and is furnished with highchairs, cribs, and individual chairs for each child.
I offer safe and affordable child care, and a play-based early learning program. Our curriculum is primarily play-based but introduces fundamental concepts like shapes, colors, and numbers. Every morning, we gather for engaging circle time, exploring the letter of the day, discussing the weather, and embracing the day of the week.
Health and safety remain a top priority. Our COVID procedures entail consistent cleaning with Lysol wipes for toys and tables throughout the day. Moreover, at end end of each day, our deep cleaning includes sanitizing small toys, carpets, and large toys to ensure a clean environment for your child's well-being.
Located off Darnestown Rd in Gaithersburg, nestled between Muddy Branch Rd and Great Seneca Hwy, Darnestown Kids Playhouse is committed to providing safe, affordable, and enriching child care. In addition to English, I also speak Urdu and Hindi, offering your child exposure to a foreign language if desired.

I couldn't be happier to recommend daycare with this provider. Our 7 month old has been with her for several months and we've been more than satisfied with the care he's received. She is wonderful with the kids and communicates very well with us. Her daycare is well kept and all the kids always seem to be having fun and well cared for whenever I pick my son up.

She is absolutely the best! She is understanding of each child's needs. My son absolutely adores her. It is wonderful dropping him off each morning knowing that he will be taken good care of by someone that is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also cares for him and his best interest.

The owner really cares about all the children. I can tell every day when I pick my little one up. Also her yard is large and great for my little one to run around! That was a big draw for me selecting this daycare.

We absolutely love our daycare! Our son has been going to this daycare for almost a year now, beginning when he was about 10 months old. He is always happily playing when I pick him up and he loves the teachers. The teachers are very loving caregivers and they always let me know how his day was and alert me to any issues they see. Our children have been with this provider for three months, and we are so happy to have found her center! The children are so excited to see her and their friends every day. We find this to be a clean, welcoming, and loving environment. This provider also has a large backyard that the kids absolutely love.

My daughter has been going to this facility for about 6 months now. She was 3 months old at the time, which was hard for me as a first time mom. Especially, during a pandemic. However, I quickly felt at ease. She is so good with my daughter, communicates with me very well and keeps things clean. She also keeps tract of temperature checks. My husband and I are very happy we found this daycare.

We love this daycare! Our 22 month old looks forward to going to "school" every day, and comes home telling us all about it. Since attending, he's become more communicative, confident, and independent. This provider is caring and patient with all the children and communicates well with parents.

Our son has been so happy since Day 1 with this provider. He started going when he was only 4 months old, which all new mothers know is a difficult time to leave your baby at daycare, but it has been great. I know he is safe and well taken care of. I never worry about my son when we drop him off and he even throws a fit now when we pick him up because he loves his caregivers so much!

My daughter love attending this daycare. This provider is very caring and sweet, She takes care of my daughter as if she was her own. I can say after changing daycares several times. I started sending my son to this daycare when he was 10 months old. It's almost 2 yrs now. As a new parent I was looking for a daycare facility that can provide healthy environment for my kid to grow with. And, I found the right one. This daycare was perfect for my son. He started there right before he turned 5 months old. Since he is our first child, he gets a lot of love and attention at home, so it was important for me to find a place where he would get the same treatment. The team is great! My son (infant) loves to go this daycare. I have no worries about when I drop him off which helps going back to work easier. She's very caring, loving, and diligent with lots of kids underfoot. I commend her for how she manages her daycare. If there happens to be a vacancy in her daycare, I would recommend snatching that spot quickly.
