Location:
Shady Grove Village Playhouse is a cozy home daycare and preschool nestled in the quiet Shady Grove Village neighborhood of Gaithersburg, MD. Our convenient location, just off Appleseed Lane, minutes from I-370 (Sam Eig Highway) and the I-270 (Washington National Pike) makes morning dropoff and evening pickup quick for busy parents seeking reliable childcare!

Program:
We are open year-round, Monday through Friday, 6:00a.m. to 6:00p.m., and we tailor our childcare options to match your family’s routine. Full-time and part-time care is available for infants as young as 6 weeks, while children up to age 12 can join our before and afterschool program. We're within walking distance of Fields Road Elementary School. Tuition already includes peanut-free and tree-nut-free snacks, giving you extra peace of mind.
About Me:
I’m the owner and primary caregiver, bringing more than 18 years of experience along with current CPR, First Aid, and M.A.T. certifications. After spending my own children’s early years volunteering in classrooms and cheering at afterschool activities, I realized how much I love the joyful energy of young learners. I realized how much I miss the days spent playing, talking, and learning with little ones.
That inspired me to open Shady Grove Village Playhouse and create a safe, loving space for children who need care. Running a daycare, caring for kids, teaching them new skills, and watching them grow isn’t just a job, it’s something I genuinely love!
Curriculum:
Our program follows a play-based curriculum designed to support early learning through creativity and fun. We incorporate dancing, singing, storytime, and plenty of open-ended play to help children develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
We keep parents closely connected with regular updates and photos so you never miss a milestone. When the weather is kind, children enjoy fresh-air adventures: summer water play in an inflatable kiddie pool, nature walks, and sensory games in the yard. English is our primary language, but I speak fluent Urdu and can introduce your child to a second language upon request.

We were hesitant to send our 1-year old to daycare after only being with his parents for so long, but this provider has been so great at making him and us feel comfortable! She's been flexible with our hectic schedules and cared for him like her own. He looks forward to seeing her every day now!

This caregiver is fantastic - a gift to my family! She provides updates and is VERY attentive to my son. This is his first daycare experience and he has blossomed under her care. He also met so many social and educational milestones in such a short time. She provides structure and makes communication with parents a breeze. Our son comes home ready for his book and bed — all signs of a well spent day!

She was a true gift from god to us. She made us feel safe and established a trusting and loving relationship with my son. She was able to play games, run around and push Haydar to use his imagination. She was an amazing child care taker.

She is a wonderful childcare provider! She has been so wonderful with our 1 and 3 year old! She is kind, patient, and has great activities for the children. My children love going to her house and feel comfortable and safe. Her space is clean, colorful, and has a wide variety of age-appropriate materials and activities for the kids. I highly recommend!
