Location:

Welcome to Hadley Farms Children's Place, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Gaithersburg, MD! We’re located in the family-friendly Hadley Farms neighborhood, just off Hadley Farms Drive and Woodfield Road (MD 124), with easy access to the Intercounty Connector (MD 200) and I-370. Our home daycare is also less than five minutes from Judith A. Resnik Elementary School.

Program:

Our doors are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age 5. Drop-in care is also available for families with occasional child care needs.

We provide a loving, inclusive environment and welcome children with special needs, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and speech delays. All enrolled children receive nutritious, well-balanced lunches and snacks each day at no extra cost.

About Me:

Hi parents! 👋 I’m the founder and main caregiver of Hadley Farms Children's Place. I have over 20 years of child care experience, including experience with the Montessori curriculum. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Foreign Languages and am certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration (MAT).

As a mother, I understand the trust parents place in a caregiver and how important it is to know your child is safe and well cared for. I believe childhood should be filled with meaningful experiences and joyful discoveries, with encouragement and room for each child to grow at their own pace.

I value open communication with families because working together helps us support each child’s development. My goal is for every child to feel at home and every family to feel welcome!

Philosophy:

Our Montessori-inspired approach encourages children to make choices, explore their interests, and learn at their own pace. Through hands-on activities and everyday experiences, we help them build independence, confidence, and practical life skills.

We guide children with patience, understanding, and kindness in a peaceful, home-like setting where they receive individual attention. We also encourage respect for others and support children’s emotional well-being, healthy habits, and connections with nature.

Daily Activities:

Children learn through a mix of Montessori-inspired and play-based activities that invite curiosity and creativity. Our days include storytime, reading, songs, language games, counting, puzzles, arts and crafts, music, and hands-on science and early math activities.

🌱 Gardening, nature walks, and outdoor play give children opportunities to explore nature. Yoga, dancing, and other movement activities support their physical development.

We help children practice kindness, sharing, and taking turns as they learn to express their feelings and build positive relationships. Daily routines include nutritious meals and snacks, proper hygiene, self-help skills, and time to rest.

In addition to English, our staff is fluent in Spanish and Farsi. We can introduce and teach these languages upon request, giving children opportunities to explore different languages and cultures.
