Location:

Welcome to Sara Uddin Family Child Care! A licensed home-based daycare and preschool program in Germantown, MD! Our home is located within the Old Seneca Woods community, just off Middlebrook Rd.

Pick-ups and drop-offs will be a breeze because we have easy access to Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy (I-270), Germantown Rd (MD 118), and the Great Seneca Hwy (MD 119). We’re also just a few minutes away from S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School and Germantown Elementary School. 🏫

Hours & Services:

Our family child care program is open from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time care for infants starting as young as 1 week old to toddlers and preschoolers.

We also provide daily meals at no additional cost! These are all stored and prepared in a peanut and tree-nut-free environment for the safety of those with nut allergies.

We are proud to provide care for children with special needs, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). By working closely with parents and families, we strive to provide a supportive environment for every child and to ensure that they enjoy their time in our care.

About Me:

Hello parents! 👋 I am Sara Uddin, and I am a proud mother and the owner of this home-based family child care program. With over 20 years of experience in child care, I have had the privilege of caring for children at different stages of their development.

I bring both professional knowledge and a personal understanding of the care, patience, and attention every child deserves. I hold a Master’s Degree in Political Science and am CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training) certified.

As a mother and dedicated child care provider, my goal is to create a home away from home where every child feels loved, respected, and confident to be themselves. I look forward to partnering with you and providing your little ones with a joyful foundation for learning, friendship, and lifelong growth.

Curriculum:

Sara Uddin Family Child Care uses a play-based curriculum designed to make learning fun and meaningful through age-appropriate play, hands-on experiences, creativity, and exploration. In addition to English, I am fluent in Hindi and Urdu and, upon request, can introduce these languages to the children and incorporate them into their daily learning experience.

Mrs. Sara is the best! she’s been with both my kids for the last almost 2 years, and I’m so sad to be leaving! She treats my kids as if they were her kids. Having my kids in a home base daycare than a regular daycare was the best decision I’ve made. Mrs. Sara is the best.

I love this caregiver! She is so amazing with my son, she gives such a motherly feeling. He has been to multiple daycares, however I never have any issues taking him to school. She is very patient, provides breakfast/snack & lunch. & the kids have fun as well. I feel so comfortable with my son being with her. I am sooo happy God allowed me to find her & her teachers!

The caregiver is AMAZING ❤ I absolutely love and adore her. I know she truly loves and cares for my son. She came into our lives at a time where I was uncomfortable with a previous daycare. It's scary to not trust who you leave your child with, believing there aren't options. But they are, and she was one of them.

This Family Child Care is an exceptional daycare. Since my kids started attending, their social skills have gotten much better, they are always full of energy when they return home, and they always look forward to going. The caregiver is very flexible and understanding when we need to make adjustments to the schedule which is very helpful in managing our work schedules. We moved to Maryland from NYC. At first, we had multiple negative experiences with local daycares. Then trough carelulu, I met this caregiver. She is the best person that can provide a safe, reliable care for your child. We highly recommend her.

This provider instantly made me feel comfortable with leaving my son with her. She’s given me tips on what to feed him, and pays close attention to any changes she observes. My son never wants to leave daycare! The facility is clean, and my son has the ability to learn at a young age.

This provider is very attentive and caring toward Olivia and I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Olivia always has fun and is happy to see her and her friends who attend as well. This provider also sends pictures from time to time as a reminder to the parents that their child is doing just fine and having fun. You can trust your child here and I am happy that we found a place that would treat my child like their own.

She's absolutely sweet and takes great care of my son. He has been there for 3 weeks now and has been loving it. No complaints, he loves going to this home daycare. He lives happy and he just lefts all the worries. I always feel so awful for living him and going to work. But it's just so exciting to see him so happy when I pick him.

My daughter loves this daycare. She came home saying that she had a great time and tells me all about the projects and the greatest thing she had done in the day with her friends!
