Creative Learning Center was founded in 1985 as a ministry of Second Baptist Church. For the past 30 years, CLC has maintained a reputation in the community as an exceptional preschool and is fully accredited. Our Mission Statement: CLC seeks to glorify God through teaching, loving and supporting young children and their families. We believe that children learn best through developmentally appropriate activities and play. Our teachers partner with parents to set goals and provide an excellent preschool experience for their children. In 2014, we made the decision to expand the hours of CLC to better accomodate families in need of full-day child care. Our goal is to provide the same enthusiasm and excellence in our full-day program that has been a hallmark of our morning preschool since its inception. Our curriculum is based on developmentally appropriate practices for each age level. We work with each family to set goals for their child. Our goal is to help children learn and develop by providing a rich learning environment. In addition, our teachers encourage each child’s curiosity, self-confidence and creativity. As our new logo suggests, children are always discovering new things and growing – cognitively, emotionally, physically and spiritually. By the time they move on to Kindergarten, we are confident they will be soaring! Creative Learning Center is a child care center in Richmond, VA.
