About Me:
Hello parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver here at Andover Heights Children’s Place. I created this program out of a passion for early childhood education and a desire to support young children as they grow, explore, and thrive.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and am CPR and First Aid certified. As both a mother and an experienced early childhood educator, I bring over 16 years of hands-on experience in child care, including 10 years as a lead teacher and several years as a daycare assistant. I know how important trust is when it comes to caring for your little ones, and I’m committed to providing a warm, secure, and enriching space every day.
Philosophy:
At Andover Heights, we believe early childhood is a time for curiosity, joy, and discovery. Each child learns in their own unique way, and we’re here to guide them with patience, creativity, and care. Our goal is to nurture a lifelong love of learning through structured routines, hands-on exploration, and playful, engaging activities.
We maintain small group sizes to provide personalized attention, and we foster strong partnerships with families through open, ongoing communication. In our home-like setting, children develop independence, confidence, empathy, and essential social-emotional skills that prepare them for preschool and beyond.
Daily Activities:
Our daily schedule is carefully designed to balance learning, movement, and fun. Each morning starts with a warm welcome and free play, followed by circle time with songs, stories, and group discussions that build language and listening skills. We explore early learning concepts like letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and science through hands-on, age-appropriate activities.
In the afternoons, children enjoy creative projects like arts and crafts, sensory play, and outdoor time to support motor skill development. We also incorporate music, movement, and STEM-based activities to spark imagination and critical thinking.
Each day ends with a closing circle to reflect, celebrate progress, and send children home feeling proud and joyful. If families are interested, I’m happy to introduce children to Urdu, offering a rich cultural and language experience alongside English instruction.
