Lorton Station Children's Den is a licensed home-based daycare and preschool located right off Lorton Station Blvd, near the Lorton VRE Station and Lorton Station Town Center. We also work with military families! Our home daycare provides a schedule of learning activities to explore, nourish, and develop skills in your child such as drawing, free play, Kids Arts and Crafts, Holiday Seasonal Crafts and tram work. These activities are designed to stimulate children's senses and provide wonderful learning opportunities. At Lorton Station Children's Den, we understand that one of the most crucial phase of a child's life is the early years. As an infant, toddler and preschooler, this is when the child’s interpersonal skills develop with more diversity to include interaction with individuals other than immediate family. Based on the research, I have found that between age 0-2 years of age the child learns about himself and his/her environment, and during this age, the baby brain grows about five centimeters during the first three months. I am certified in child care in the State of Virginia with 8 years of experience in child care. During this process, my entire family had to go through back group checks along with TB tests. I have CPR & First Aid and MAT Certifications, and I am also an NAFCC member. I have a Child Development Associate Credential and an Early Childhood Development Career Studies Certificate. I am accepting children from New Born to 4 years of age and am open from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays. I am excited to meet your family and to provide the best care possible for your children. It’s a very serious responsibility and I give my commitment to the safety and well-being of your child. Being a mother of a daughter, I understand and feel the emotions of leaving the child under someone else's care.
