Koodakestane Lily - Children City, Los Angeles

Established in 1995, Koodakestane Lily (Children’s City) is dedicated to providing a loving, fun and educational program for your child. We follow the basics of the Montessori method of learning through play, music, and dance, with a more academic focus. Our goal is to develop the whole child, to prepare them for the world we live in, and to foster an expectation in them that they can succeed at anything. Both English and Farsi are spoken and taught. Academic focus is on English. The goal is that children will be able to connect with their family at home and gatherings and will be ready for and comfortable in an English-only Elementary school. We want the children to learn both languages, but first and foremost we want them to feel comfortable and understood. We ask some staff to speak to the children in English, and repeat in Farsi as needed, and instruct others to speak to the children in Farsi, and repeat in English as needed. We also employ other tools such as playing Simon Says, teaching songs, and reading and interpreting books from one language to another. To learn more, please call us or send us an email.
