About Me
Welcome to Happy Home Child Care in Manassas, VA! I’m Harpreet Kaur Nakai, the owner, and caregiver, and I have 22 years of child care experience. I’m a mother of two, and I’m CPR and first-aid certified as well as MAT certified (so I can administer medication to your little one if needed). In addition to my childcare credentials, I also hold a master’s degree in English.
Program
My daycare hours are from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. I care for infants as young as 2 months, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-agers up to 12 years old. My family child care program offers various flexible options to accommodate working families. I can provide full-time daycare, and part-time daycare, and I can also offer drop-in care if you only have occasional needs. I provide peanut-free lunch and snacks to the children in my care (included in the tuition).
Philosophy
I offer safe and affordable child care, and I believe that children learn through play. Therefore, I use a play-based approach to early learning and also use elements of the Waldorf philosophy - emphasizing the role of imagination in early education. In addition to English, I also speak Hindi and Urdu. and Punjabi and I can expose my little students to one of those languages (only upon parents' instruction, of course).

Mrs. Nakai is very professional, knowledgeable and caring. She has been providing reliable child care services for more than an year to our family. We have requested her to speak a mix of English and Punjabi with our son, and we are pleased with his language skill development.

Harpreet’s home is very warm and welcoming. She has been providing child care for my 2 year old son for more than a year. He feels very comfortable with her and enjoys spending time in her home. I would recommend Harpreet’s childcare service to anyone looking for a family friendly in-home daycare.

Loved her as a professional day care provider, Very pleasant personality with great customer service,big smile, neat and clean environment at her place,She is a great cook too. Definitely would love to recommend the parents as I had an awesome time for my son at her place.

This provider provided care for both my children from 3 months old to 3 years old. She was very accommodating and nurturing and did an excellent job looking after my kids.

My son was with this provider since he was 2 months old. He was loved by a mother every day, making it easier for me to work. She was a wonderful second mother to my son. He was fed and cared for as if he were her own.
