We care for children from 6 weeks old through age 12, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged kids. We also proudly welcome children with special needs!
To support your family’s busy schedule, we offer full-time and part-time care, before and after school care, drop-in options, and a vibrant summer camp program. Every child in our care receives healthy, home-cooked meals prepared in a tree nut-free environment, and all meals and snacks are included in tuition.
About Me:
Hi parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver here at Villa West Kids Playhouse. With over 34 years of experience in child care, a Bachelor’s Degree in Art, and certifications in CPR and First Aid, I’ve dedicated my life to early childhood development. My journey began with my own son, who has learning disabilities, and my experience seeking the right support for him inspired me to become a resource for other families.
Today, I also volunteer through my church to help low-income families, and I feel incredibly grateful to play a meaningful role in children’s lives. As a mother myself, I know how overwhelming parenting can be, and how important it is to feel supported. That’s exactly what I strive to offer every family: a loving environment where your child can grow, and you can feel at ease!
Philosophy:
At Villa West Kids Playhouse, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. In our cozy home setting, children are never just another number. With our intentionally small group size, we’re able to offer truly personalized care. Whether it’s supporting important milestones like potty training, or recognizing when a child may need extra help with speech or social development.
While I’m not a therapist, I have extensive training in child development and can help guide parents toward early support if needed. Open communication is a cornerstone of our approach. Our open-door policy invites parents to be part of their child’s experience, building trust and strong partnerships between caregivers and families.
Daily Activities:
Each day at Villa West Kids Playhouse is thoughtfully planned to balance guided learning, hands-on exploration, and creative play. Children are welcomed into a calm, friendly space where they can settle in and start the day with free play. Activities that support physical and cognitive development are included throughout the day, from motor skill games and sensory play to music, storytelling, and group discussions that build language and social-emotional skills.
Outdoor play gives children the chance to enjoy fresh air and movement, while nutritious meals and snacks keep them energized. We prioritize hygiene with regular handwashing and diaper checks, and quiet rest time allows little ones to recharge. Afternoons are spent winding down with relaxed play and parent pick-up, with individualized updates so you always stay connected to your child’s day.
