Hello parents! Welcome to Indian Spring Park Playhouse, my licensed home daycare in Silver Spring, MD. My child care and preschool program is located in the family-friendly Indian Spring Park neighborhood, just off University Blvd (MD 193), near the Capital Beltway (I-495) and Colesville Rd (US 29).

Our Silver Spring daycare is also just a few minutes from Indian Spring Terrace Park and Highland View Elementary School, making it convenient for families in the surrounding area.

Program:

Indian Spring Park Playhouse is open year-round, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We also offer drop-in care for families who need occasional or temporary child care, and before and after school care for school-aged children.

We are committed to providing a caring and inclusive environment where every child feels welcome and supported. We are proud to care for children with special needs, including children living with diabetes, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We work closely with parents and families to understand each child’s individual needs and help them feel comfortable and happy in our care.

We provide two healthy snacks each day at no additional cost, with options such as milk, fresh fruits, and vegetables. Lunch is also available for a small additional fee. All meals and snacks are prepared in a peanut and tree-nut-free space.

About Me:

Hello there! 👋 I am the owner and main provider at Indian Spring Park Playhouse. I have more than 5 years of child care experience, including experience as a paraeducator with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to find a daycare where your child feels safe, loved, and comfortable.

I started my daycare with a simple goal: to create a warm, nurturing place where children can feel at home while learning, playing, and having fun. I hold an Associate’s Degree in Office Management and am certified in CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training), helping me provide thoughtful and responsible care.

I also speak English and Amharic fluently. Upon request, I am happy to introduce children to Amharic and Romanian through fun, age-appropriate interactions. I value building trusting relationships with children and their families because I believe quality child care begins with genuine care, communication, and connection.

Curriculum:

At Indian Spring Park Playhouse, we follow a play-based curriculum that encourages children to learn through hands-on activities, creative play, and everyday experiences. We understand that every child is unique and develops at their own pace, so we provide patient, attentive, and individualized care in a clean and welcoming home daycare environment.

Through play-based learning and age-appropriate activities, we support each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development while encouraging confidence, independence, and curiosity. Most importantly, we want children to enjoy learning and feel excited to come to daycare each day.

Daily Activities:

Our days at Indian Spring Park Playhouse are filled with opportunities for children to discover, imagine, create, and learn. Activities include storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, sensory play, puzzles, building activities, pretend play, and age-appropriate experiences that introduce children to music and history.

When the weather permits, children also enjoy outdoor play, movement activities, nature exploration, and hands-on learning. Throughout the day, we help children develop friendships, practice sharing and taking turns, and build independence through everyday routines and responsibilities. Our goal is to make each day enjoyable and meaningful while giving children plenty of opportunities to learn, explore, and have fun.
