Welcome to North Hills Little Playhouse, my bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. My home-based child care facility is licensed and located in the North Hills neighborhood, right off Colesville Rd (route 29). My daycare is conveniently located for your commute to work since I'm just a minute away from the Capital Beltway (I-495) and University Blvd (route 193), and I'm also near Georgia Ave (route 97).
About Me
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing child care and preschool program. I'm a licensed child care provider with 10 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I’m also a CPR and First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your little one is safe at all times. My goal as an early educator, and as a mom myself, is to provide safe and nurturing care, and to make kids happy!
Curriculum
North Hills Little Playhouse is a bilingual Spanish child care program, so children can learn Spanish at a young age. I also use the Creative Curriculum to help my young students develop socio-emotional, physical, cognitive, and language. My program offers lots of engaging activities such as circle time, arts and crafts, etc. If weather permits, we play outside in my private playground where they feel safe while having fun.
Program
My daycare is open all year-round from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 3 months and 5 years old, including children with special needs. Children attending my program are served with peanut and tree-nut free snacks (included in the tuition).

My child is 20 months now and has been with this daycare since she was 5 months old. They are the most caring and loving people. I do not ever worry about my daughter’s safety because I know that they care for her like she is their own. Their daycare is clean and well-stocked with toys and backyard play equipment. I love everything about her and her family child care center because it truly is that- it feels like you’re leaving your child with a trusted family member for the day. She and her star staff treat each child with love and caring as though they were their own grandchildren or something. We highly recommend this provider and her family team! Our daughter loves going to day care and learning and playing with the caregivers. She has greatly advanced in her verbal and emotional skills during her time there - in English and Spanish! She gets care tailored to her needs and lots of love and laughter. :)

Our experience with this provider has been wonderful. My toddler loves going and getting to see and play with the other babies. We love that he is learning Spanish in addition to bringing home the cutest artwork. We receive pictures and get to see our son enjoying himself throughout the day and participating in various activities.

This provider is great. Nina is one and knows how to do things like eat with a fork, hold a marker to color on paper and is taken care of! They go on walks and do outdoor activities. Everyone wears mask as well. Very fortunate as she was recommended in the neighborhood list serve we have and it has not disappointed. Three thumbs up!

This provider has been a lifesaver in this crazy time. Our daughter has been there since she was about 8 months old and is now 16 months. She loves her and loves going to daycare. This provider is conscientious about Covid protocols and in our experience all of the parents are as well - masks & temp checks at pick up and drop off and this provider keeps the space very clean. As a first time mother sending my baby to daycare for the first fime I was very nervous, but this provider made me feel calm and safe to leave my baby with her. She takes very good care of my baby and send me pictures often. The facility looks very attractive for kids, full of toys. I’m very happy with this child care!

I couldn’t be happier with this family daycare.
