About Me:
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this nurturing and high-quality early childhood education. As a mom of 2 and a licensed child care provider with 25 years of experience, I assure you that your child is safe under my care. I’m also CPR & First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained so I can administer medications.
Program:
Wheaton Forest Park Playhouse is open as early as 6:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Please note that our standard hours are 7:00am - 5:30pm with not more than 10 hours of care provided each day, but we can open as early as 6:00am for an additional fee. My program offers various flexible options, such as full-time and part-time care for newborn babies, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old.
For families only looking for occasional child care, I can provide drop-in care. I also offer before and after school care for school-age children up to 12 years old (my home is near Glen Haven Elementary School). All kids attending my program are served with peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks and these are already included in the tuition.
Curriculum:
My little students enjoy participating in extra-curricular activities, such as yoga, exercise & fitness, and baking. My assistant speaks Spanish and in addition to English, she can teach your child this foreign language (my daycare is not a bilingual program though). The community park is very close to my house and if the weather is nice, I bring the kids there where we spend our outdoor playtime.
I teach my little students ABCs, numbers, shapes, how to read, and how to spell their names. I also have a coloring activity and a learning worksheet every day. For before and after school kids, I help them with their homework.
