About Me:
Hi parents! I’m the owner and lead caregiver at Oakview Kiddie Cottage, and I have over 12 years of childcare experience. I am CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring your little ones are always in safe hands.
My passion for childcare began with babysitting for friends and neighbors before caring for my own children. I opened this daycare to provide high-quality early childhood education in a warm, family-like setting where kids feel loved, secure, and excited to learn.
Every child is naturally curious and eager to explore the world. My goal is to create an environment where they can learn through play, develop independence, and build social skills. All while having fun!
Curriculum:
Oakview Kiddie Cottage follows a play-based, age-appropriate curriculum that nurtures each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Through engaging hands-on activities, we encourage creativity, problem-solving, and a love for learning.
Our daily activities include:
- Circle time with fun stories, songs, and early literacy activities
- Arts & crafts, painting, and writing to enhance fine motor skills
- Reading time to build language and communication skills
- Outdoor play in our fenced backyard, where children can explore safely
We believe that children learn best through play, and our goal is to help them develop confidence, curiosity, and essential early learning skills in a loving, structured environment!
