Gum Springs Farm Playhouse, Silver Spring

Welcome to Gum Springs Farm Playhouse, my home daycare in Silver Spring, MD. My family child care program is licensed and located in the Gum Springs Farm neighborhood, off Briggs Chaney Rd. Your daily commute to work will be convenient since I have easy access to Maryland State Route 200, and Columbia Pike (US-29).

I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have almost a decade of professional experience. I’m CPR & First-aid certified, as well as M.A.T trained, so I can administer over-the-counter prescription and medication to all kids in my care.

Gum Springs Farm Playhouse is open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. I offer a Play-based program and full-time daycare for children between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years old, including children with special needs.

Our educational journey starts with learning ABCs, colors, and shapes but also takes us beyond the basics to explore the wonders of the planets, organs, body parts, and the weather. We cherish playtime, both indoors and outside, where the little ones sing, dance, and participate in various sports (the kids always enjoy playing soccer!) Before nap time, we take a moment to reflect and express gratitude for the wonderful things we have in our lives.

Your little one will love my child care facility! I have a nice open space that is bright and colorful, equipped with colorful foam puzzle mats and tastefully decorated. The walls are adorned with great wall decor, including our learning curriculum. There is a library with books, toys suitable for both infants and toddlers, along with an array of stimulating learning toys for all ages.

I run a peanut and tree-free environment and serve snacks to all children attending my program (already included in the tuition). We practice healthy habits for the safety of everyone. We wash our hands regularly, especially in between snack times, lunch, and diaper changes. We also meticulously clean the foam mats every night with safe products, to ensure the children are not exposed to any harmful chemicals.
