Connecticut Avenue Park Playhouse, Silver Spring

Welcome to Connecticut Avenue Park Playhouse, my licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver of this intimate child care and high-quality early childhood education program. I’m a mom of 3 grown-up kids and I have 16 years of experience. Working as a daycare provider can be rewarding for several reasons, but what I really like the most is the opportunity to be a significant part of a child’s early life. They also bring a lot of joy and laughter, making the environment an enjoyable place to be. Seeing them happy and thriving brings a sense of fulfillment :)

Connecticut Avenue Park Playhouse uses the Creative Curriculum offering fun, educational activities, such as puzzles, reading, writing, and painting. In addition to English, I speak Amharic and upon request, I can teach your child this foreign language (my daycare is not a bilingual program though). My family child care program is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age kids up to 12 years old. I can also accommodate children with special needs (ADHD and Autism). Lunch and snacks are already included in the tuition and provided to all kids attending my program. To prevent possible allergies, I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment.

Connecticut Avenue Park Playhouse is located in the Connecticut Avenue Park area of Silver Spring, MD. My home is located off Littleton St and Connecticut Ave (route 185). I have easy access to Turkey Branch Pkwy and Veirs Mill Rd, so your daily commute to work will be very convenient.
