Welcome to Piney Branch Cozy Corner, a licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD, located in the BF Gilberts Subdivision of Takoma Park. Our child care program is conveniently situated just off Piney Branch Rd (MD 320), Carroll Ave, and MD 410. We are also only minutes from Takoma Park Elementary School, Takoma-Piney Branch Park, and the Silver Spring Metro Station, making our daycare in Silver Spring MD a convenient option for commuting families.

Program:

Piney Branch Cozy Corner is a Spanish bilingual daycare and preschool program in Silver Spring MD. We are open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-time and part-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years of age. Before- and after-school care is also available for school-aged children.

Healthy and nutritious snacks are provided daily, and lunch is available for an additional fee. All meals and snacks are prepared in a tree nut and peanut-free environment to help ensure the safety and well-being of children with allergies.

About Me:

Hi Parents! I am the owner and primary caregiver of Piney Branch Cozy Corner, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. For more than 12 years, I have had the privilege of caring for the children of close family members and friends. As those little ones grew up and started school, I realized how much I truly love working with children. What began as a way to support loved ones became a meaningful calling.

There is nothing more rewarding than watching children’s personalities blossom, helping them learn new skills, and being a positive and supportive presence in their lives. I deeply value partnering with parents and guardians, building strong relationships rooted in trust and shared goals. Now that I am officially licensed, I am proud to expand Piney Branch Cozy Corner and welcome more families seeking quality daycare in Silver Spring MD and the greater Montgomery County area.

Mission:

Drawing on years of hands-on experience caring for children in my family and community, I create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to explore and grow. My approach blends compassionate guidance with engaging learning experiences, helping children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. I believe the best child care happens when families and caregivers work together. Through open communication, trust, and a strong sense of partnership, I ensure that both children and parents feel supported every step of the way.

Daily Activities:

At Piney Branch Cozy Corner, children participate in a play-based, Spanish bilingual preschool program designed to encourage hands-on learning and exploration. Each day includes creative arts, music, and interactive activities that support social, emotional, and cognitive development. Through playful lessons, children are introduced to letters and numbers while beginning to read, write, and speak basic Spanish in a fun and meaningful way.

Outdoor time is an important part of our daily routine when weather permits, encouraging movement, curiosity, and a connection with nature. Every activity is thoughtfully planned to nurture confidence and creativity, helping children grow into happy, curious learners.
