Hello and welcome to Springfield Forest Little Cottage, our cozy home-based daycare nestled in the Springfield Forest neighborhood in Springfield, VA! With 28 years of experience, including several years spent working in other licensed facilities, I am the proud owner and caregiver of this child care and preschool program. As a mother of 6 children, I understand the need for a safe and engaging environment for your little ones. My journey into child care began as a heartfelt decision born from the need to support my family. When my husband got diagnosed with a brain tumor, working from home seemed like the only option to support my family financially, while caring for my husband. Through this challenging period, I realized my passion for nurturing young minds and helping children to learn and grow. Even after my husband’s recovery, my love for child care persisted, driven by the joy I get from working with kids!

Our doors open from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, offering care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5-year-olds. We provide both full-time and part-time care to suit your family's needs. We also offer lunch and snacks for your little ones, already included in the tuition. Rest assured, if your child has allergies, as our meals are peanut-free and tree-nut-free.

Springfield Forest Little Cottage is conveniently located just off Franconia Road (route 644), close to the shopping mall comprising Home Depot, Best Buy, and Target. Additionally, we're near the beautiful Springfield Forest Park / Franconia Forest Park. Commuting to work will be a breeze since we're within easy access of both the I-95 and I-495. Our daycare operates out of a single-family home which has a fenced backyard with fun play equipment. That allows for lots of fun outdoor play and exploration when the weather is nice. Inside, our beautifully decorated indoor space is colorful, creating a warm and happy environment where our students can have an amazing learning experience.

Our teaching philosophy is tailored to suit different age groups. For infants and babies, we embrace a play-based approach that fosters curiosity and early developmental milestones. As toddlers and preschoolers grow and learn, we integrate the Creative Curriculum, incorporating activities like reading, alphabet learning, and numbers while promoting creativity through puzzles and hands-on experiences. At Springfield Forest Little Cottage, we believe in providing a holistic learning environment where your child can flourish emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
