Hi parents, welcome to Forest View Children's Place, my small and intimate home daycare in Springfield, VA! My daycare is in the Forest View community, right off Pohick Rd (route 641). I have easy access to Rolling Rd (route 638) and Fairfax County Pkwy (route 286), so your commute will be very convenient.
About Me
I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I have 23 years of professional experience. I’m a licensed practical nurse with CPR and First-aid certifications. As a mom of 3 kids, I can relate to your concerns when it comes to finding a safe, affordable and quality child care program for your little one. At my daycare, you can be assured that he/she will receive plenty of individual attention since I only take a maximum of 4 children.
Curriculum
We start our mornings with circle time, where I teach kids about sharing and good manners. They get to go outside 1-2 times a day for around 30 minutes if the weather is nice. When they come back inside, we focus on learning numbers, shapes, colors, and writing their names. Plus, we have exciting themed arts and crafts projects every week.
I've created a welcoming space with great lighting, bright carpets, learning curriculum posters, age-appropriate toys, large slides, play kitchens, and engaging activity sets.
Program
Forest View Children's is open all throughout the year from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays. I can provide full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 3 months and 6 years old. All kids attending full-time are served with breakfast, lunch and snacks, which are already included in the tuition.
We can also accommodate before and after school care for school-age kids, up to 6 years old (my home is close to Newington Forest Elementary School and Saratoga Elementary School).
My facility has a separate room for naps and a designated area for changing diapers. This allows me to change diapers without disturbing sleeping children.

We love this family child care. She is a wonderful teacher. The owner who cares for my kid is friendly and warm with very good teaching skills. My kid has developed well, she knows the alphabet and draws much better than before. My kid loves her food. She can eat a lot of new food including vegetables that she had never had before. Thank you for her teaching, my kid has a better routine and manner.

We highly recommend her as a child care provider. Our daughter began with her when she was 5 months old. She is now 17 months and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to bring her to this daycare. She works to develop and teach my daughter while making her feel safe and very loved. The space is clean, bright, and full of activities. My daughter enjoys going to daycare which makes me feel so much better as a working mom!

This caregiver was the first person we toured with -- and she was the only one we needed. Our son fell in love with her and her space immediately. Every time I go to pick him up, he always has something new to say, which speaks a million words in terms of his development. Highly recommend her if you have a 6-14 month old baby!

The owner is a fantastic childcare provider. We are really happy we found her. She truly cares for the children and appreciate her hard work! She even sends pictures and videos to show how happy our son is!

We can't say enough good things about this daycare! Our 10mo baby has been been under her care since he was 4 months old and we're very happy. Her home is clean, she is communicative, she listens to our needs, and I can tell she loves our child. I highly recommend and we will continue to use her services.

We have been using Forest View Children's Place for almost 2 months. We love the daycare and are so happy to send our daughter every day. The staff are so kind and loving and they have taken great care of her. When she had a bad diaper rash they took extra care to help it heal.
