Hello, my name is Angela Ray. I am a mom of five and a grandmother of one. My passion has always been caring for others. My lifelong dream has always been to open my own family daycare to provide a safe, nurturing, fun and educational environment for little ones. I understand the importance of providing an environment that allows parents to be stress-free and not have to worry about the safety of their child while having to work. As your provider, I promise to provide a safe environment and high quality of care. Mission and Values The mission of Lil Leaders Family Daycare is to create a stimulating and nurturing environment where children of all abilities, regardless of social-economic or cultural background, can grow and learn together in acceptance of one another. At Lil Leaders Family Daycare, we value the importance of character, commitment to the family, commitment to the community, respect for the individual, and celebrating our differences My Philosophy I believe that in the right environment a child’s natural curiosity and creativity leads to endless opportunities to grow in knowledge and develop a love of learning. We provide that environment at Lil Leaders Family Daycare by making it a safe and nurturing place where your child will be encouraged to build, pretend and create their way to exciting discoveries about the world around them. I believe that all children possess the ability and the right to receive academic and social intelligence and achievement throughout their journey through childhood. It is also my belief that children learn well in groups because they have more motivation to learn during peer experiences. The purpose of education is to help shape our Lil Leaders of tomorrow, intellectually and socially. It is my responsibility as their provider and role model to teach them some of the tools they need to be successful. I am also one person out of their village of people, who helps plant the seeds of great morals and values for life, learning, and self-awareness. Those morals and values contribute greatly to a child’s intellectual and social success in the classroom and beyond. While in the classroom, this is your child's community, therefore the culture of my classroom means a great deal. My classroom is a pleasurable place that promotes diversity and learning; helps each student evolve developmentally; promotes peer interaction and communication with others; builds confidence; builds self-regulation; and promotes individuality and stability. It is my mission to provide a space that allows children to make mistakes while they experience the fullness of nurture, love, and care as they learn and grow with one another. Every child has their own way of learning, but they must be given the opportunity and exposure to different experiences for them to learn what that way is. Let’s learn and grow together!
