Open Arms Child Care
My philosophy at Open Arms Child Care is that learning is ongoing. Learning occurs every minute of the day with planned and unplanned activities. Open Arms curriculum is designed to be developmentally appropriate from infancy through school age. Open Arms encourage social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development every day. My program focuses on play and free choice for each child along with teacher directed activities and monthly theme units. I strive for a safe and nurturing environment for children to play and grow. • Open Arms is open from 7:15 am to 5:45pm. • I offer breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. • School age: Pick up and Drop off at George D. Lisby Elementary School. • I provide daily sheets, by email, for children in all day care. • Open Arms provides a preschool program from September through May for children at no additional cost to you. o I have created a curriculum based on developmentally appropriate practices. o Some of the activities include arts & crafts, music, math, science, stories, games, as well as letter, shape, color, and number recognition in a monthly theme format. • Open Arms also provides fun activities during the summer months like crafts, water play, and spirit days. • I offer 1 free date night every other month for children currently enrolled in my program Open Arms Child Care Licensed Home Daycare Enrolling Infants & Up I have my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and I am also Infants and Toddler certified. In addition, I am trained in First Aid, CPR, Medical Administration, SIDS, etc. I have worked with children in daycare centers for 8 years, home childcare for 4 years, and love what I do. I also have two children of my own and a dog. I want to provide children with an opportunity to learn and grow hands-on.
Brighter Beginnings Day Care Center
Brighter Beginnings Learning Center's Inc. is locally owned and operated. The owners have been providing services to the Harford County community since 1996 through outreach and educational employment opportunities. Brighter Beginnings Learning Center was built on the premise and continues to follow the philosophy of providing quality childcare services at an affordable cost to parents. We believe that keeping child care costs affordable translates to stability for your child(ren) and peace of mind to parents. In 1999 BBLC began its roots within the home of the owners. (Harford County) We were licensed to provide child care services to the maximum allowed number of eight (8) children. We quickly grew and began the search for a facility within the Aberdeen community. In 2003, Brighter Beginnings Learning Center leased its first commercial space after establishing a solid foundation within the community and serving hundreds of families. We continued to evaluate our business plan while maintaining the philosophy of providing quality and affordable childcare. We relocated in 2011 to our current address of 401 Market Street Suites 400-500 which is located within the residential community of Aberdeen, Md. in order to continue providing a child friendly and family oriented environment. In April, 2012 we expanded our services to provide additional quality and affordable child care services within our new learning center environment. Brighter Beginning Child Care will move into Suite 300 which has allowed us to expand our Pre-School Program. We are excited about our new expansion and thankful to the Harford County community for continuing to welcome us after 13 years of service.
