Bright Futures Home Child Care

My name is Chian Fuentes, but the children have popularly nicknamed... me “Miss Chian”. I am a Charles County native and I live with my husband and 3-year-old daughter. My decision to create “Bright Futures” is the opportunity for me to give back to the community and help parents by providing quality childcare for their children. I believe that quality care and early education create a partnership between parents and providers. At Bright Futures, it is my mission to partner with parents and provide a safe and loving environment with developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that allows your child to explore and learn. At this stage in early childhood development, it is not “teachers” that children need to help them learn, but loving, responsive relationships with caregivers. Bright Futures is a play based program that gives your child the opportunity to explore and grow, create and discover, build relationships with other children in the program, and become confident life long learners. Bright Futures is a licensed in-home childcare that has achieved the Maryland EXCELS quality rating by the Maryland Department of Education and has been recognized as a Child Care Program that continues to provide high quality care and education in a fun and safe learning environment. Bright Futures offers: * Small ratios (3 - 5 children) * Classroom area dedicated exclusively for childcare * Fenced backyard for outdoor play * Structured, educational curriculum provided by "Mother Goose Time" * Daily creative learning experiences for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers that build upon individual strengths, talents, and activities they enjoy The first five years of your child’s life will be full of incredible developmental milestones and I am so grateful that you have chosen Bright Futures to be a part of your child’s amazing journey. Please know that if you ever have any questions or concerns, my door is always open. I’m always available for a chat on the phone and during drop-off or pick-up times, or by email or text. Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family.

Learning Station Child Care

About Us: Hi Parents, thank you for your interest in Learning Station... Child Care, my home-based daycare and preschool in Accokeek, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 14 years of experience in child care and early childhood education. I’m CPR & First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained (if needed, I can administer medication to all children in my care). Upon becoming a mother, I remembered how refreshing it is to contribute significantly to children's social, emotional and intellectual growth. So, I decided to stay home with my own children (I'm a mom of 4!) I also decided to help other parents within my community by providing child care services where I am able to watch other children evolve by providing the same loving and nurturing care as I do with my own. Learning Station Child Care is located in the Simmons Acres neighborhood in Accokeek, MD. My home is right off Indian Head Hwy (route 210), not far from the Manokeek Village Center, with easy access to Livingston Rd, Berry Rd and Bensville Rd. Curriculum and Program Since we all have different learning styles, I decided to use the Montessori method which is a learning philosophy not determined by a child's age, but rather by the rate and speed at which a child can acquire one skill before moving on to another skill. In addition to that, I also follow the Play-based approach to make sure children are engaged and have fun while learning. My family child care and preschool program is open year-round from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I can provide full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks old and 5 years old, including children with special needs. Meals are already included in the tuition and served to all children attending my program (meals included are breakfast, lunch and snacks). Please contact me to schedule a visit, I look forward to meeting your family!
