Woodbridge Station KinderCare
Overview Welcome to the Woodbridge Station KinderCare Learning Center!  Our center has been in the Edgewood community since 1989. We have built many strong relationships over the years watching many of our children grow up and have children of their own come to our center!  Many of our teachers have been here for many years too.  We are a NAEYC accredited center and provide a safe, nurturing, and learning environment for our children.   With designated learning centers such as dramatic play, sensory and blocks, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child-initiated discovery.  You'll also find that our classrooms feature a print-rich environment full of carefully selected materials to help your child connect spoken words and print to help develop early literacy and writing skills.  We pride ourselves in being a family oriented center and would love for you to be a part of our KinderCare family too. Teachers & StaffThe Woodbridge Station KinderCare teachers are passionate about teaching children and are dedicated to providing a classroom that enriches young minds to be excited about learning as they are engaged in activities that nurture their self esteem, their well being, and their individual needs and interests.  We hope your family will find our center to be your "home away from home" kind of place and that you will join our "KinderCare family" where you will be encouraged to be a part of your child's education every day. Health & SafetyWe have a staff member as our Health and Safety Coordinator; key code secured doors; six-foot-high fences around the play area with a secure lock; government-issued ID is verified during pick up and drop off; and name-to-face checks every 30 minutes.
Infants 'n More
Infants 'n More provides a nurturing and safe environment for babies and toddlers through 2 years old. Our emphasis is on infant and toddler care and development. The daycare and learning center allow parents to confidently leave their children in our care, knowing that people who are empathetic to the difficult balance of work and family life will care for their babies. Infants 'n More!! is available to accommodate the needs of the modern day family. Infants 'n More!! is dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for babies and toddlers through the age of 2 (35 months of age). We will apply our knowledge, expertise, education, experience, and love for children in such a way that our infants and toddlers will flourish, feel loved, build self-esteem, learn, play, and truly enjoy their home away from home. Infants 'n More believes in educaring its infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. A combination of education and quality care will be extended to all children. The whole child will be acknowledged by applying developmentally appropriate practices that stimulate infants and toddlers. Infants 'n More will encourage social/emotional development, physical development (gross motor skills and fine motor skills), cognitive development, and language development. Sensory stimulation activities are important for all infants and more crucial for babies with disabilities or who have experienced challenging births. Our youngest babies will be presented with bold black and white patterns to stimulate vision. Various shapes, cards, and other paper designs will be presented to babies to help eyes grow strong. Rattles, bright toys, mirrors, music, nursery rhymes, story time, and stroller walks will also be available to our young babies. Babies will explore by creating handprints with non-toxic paints and begin simple art projects. Gross motor development to encourage pushing up and rolling over will be introduced. Tummy time will be a part of everyday activities for infants. Cognitive and fine motor skills will be taught by exposure to developmentally appropriate toys and activities. Our toddlers will participate in singing, circle time, body movement, nursery rhymes, story time, arts & crafts, outdoor fun, sing-a-longs, weekly themed activities, color and shape recognition, puzzle time, and more! Toddlers will have access to many interest areas, which will provide an opportunity for learning, creativity, and overall development. The toddler environment will include block play, dramatic play, toys and games, art, music, and a library area. These activities promote healthy development and social interaction within the classroom. Our preschool environment will include sensory activities, science, block play, art, computers, music, and library. We will, of course, incorporate free play into the children's daily routine as children learn through play. Our goal is to prepare your child for the next step in their future by helping them develop/hone their fine motor, gross motor, social, cognitive, language, and basic math skills. Some ways in which we will incorporate teaching these skills include circle time, practicing cutting with scissors, tracing shapes, using flash cards, counting, introducing the alphabet, and allowing them to use a computer to participate in educational games. Mrs. Rabbitt's Daycare

My name is Monica. I am a Mother of three who decided to open a licensed daycare in White Marsh. My hours of operation will be Monday through Friday... from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided for your child daily and is included in the weekly rate. My passion for working with children started in my late teens when I was a camp counselor. Over the last 15 years I have taught vacation bible school and work in my church nursery and preschool areas. Children in my care will enjoy a fun, educational atmosphere and we will follow a light curriculum with rug time, math and reading. My goal is to help the children in my care prepare for school as well as to help the older children with existing school work. My home is a very strict smoke free environment located in the Chapel Hill School District with a bus stop close by. Before and After-Care is available for school aged kids. Daycare will take place mainly in the finished basement where kids will enjoy social development through play and a light curriculum with meals/snacks being served in the dining room. I also have a huge fenced in backyard with a state of the art play set. While we learn by play we also have designated learning time at the end of the day and throughout the day many activities to go with what we are learning about for the day/week/month. I would love to answer any questions you have as well as set up a time for you to come out for an interview. Please feel free to email or call so we can get started in bringing your child into our family at Mrs. Rabbitts Daycare! License information and references are available upon request.
