I enrolled our child with Tyra. She agreed to take him even though he is in virtual school and needs special care. He is in special education and needs lots of reinforcement. Tyra did not log my son in for all his classes. ( his teacher told me) she also did not help him do his assignments or have him log in to do them. She obviously didn’t have the time to help him. When I asked her if she could make sure he logs in she rudely answered me that she has been Logging him in, but his teacher takes Attendance..There was no math work done. She also failed to tell me she was taking every Friday off for 6 weeks. She told me the First Friday morning I was going to bring him in. She claims because I was off on Fridays that I didn’t want to take care of my son( very rude.)Clearly this lady is unprofessional and doesn’t care about her parents. Her home smells of toxic glade chemicals which are very bad for growing children to smell constantly. I would not recommend her.

TLDR: She dropped our child with three days' notice for no reason after we had been registered for months. My wife and I are both essential workers; she is a nurse at an assisted living facility and I work for a company that supports critical infrastructure sectors. We registered our then unborn daughter with Tyra back in January, securing her place with a registration fee/deposit, and we were glad we did when everything started shutting down due to the pandemic. My wife contacted Tyra shortly after the shutdown began, and she assured her that she was open to care for the children of essential employees. My wife again contacted Tyra about two weeks before she was due to return to work, and Tyra again said she would be able to take our daughter, although she was having some trouble getting her money from the state grant program that was set up to pay childcare providers. I thought it was odd that she would mention that, as it had nothing to do with us, but did not think much of it. My wife is due back to work on 5/21. She emailed Tyra last week inquiring about what supplies we needed to bring before baby's first day and to make sure everything was still good, and she heard nothing back. She being the type of person that does not like to bother anybody assumed Tyra was busy and would get back to her. I convinced her to get back up with Tyra yesterday, three days before she was due back to work, and Tyra for no valid reason whatsoever told her that she was not taking our daughter after all but would be willing to accept her in a month when she knew we could pay her since the state grant had only paid her one time. This after repeatedly saying everything was okay. Now my wife may lose her job if they do not have an alternative night shift for her to work because we were left without childcare--childcare that we registered for almost five months ago. It seems that Tyra does not care about the families whatsoever and only cares about the money. She has dropped a bomb into two essential workers' lives and has no remorse whatsoever. Avoid this heartless person.
