About

Our program is very flexible. Children need structure but also the freedom that allows creativity to develop and self -discovery to occur. Each day includes a circle time where we read, sing songs, do yoga, learn about the weather and calendar. We also play games about color, shapes, and emotions. Other concepts integrated into our program are done throughout the day.

I could not have hoped for a better place for my daughter. Everything was just perfect, and now that we have left the country, i am missing even more every moment with this day care. The people, the place, the curriculum, the care, the cleanliness, the attention to details - it was just perfect, and i am truly missing it. My kid was never sick, always well taken care of like family - they have deeply contributed to the growth of my daughter. I have not found anything that compares in my other country. I highly recommend My Little Tree Day Care to anyone around the area.

As new parents and working full time, we needed a caring, safe, educational and very fun daycare. I was also searching for a place that could provide structure and consistent routine for my daughter development, a Spanish immersion experience and on top of this I wanted my kid to feel like at home. My little tree was all this for my little one and it was her second home!. When I left my kid at My little Tree, I always knew that she was safe and loved. My little tree is the best peace of mind a parent can have. Tomas and Nancy have patiently and lovingly helped her to become patient with herself, respectful, polite and to be a good friend of other kids. It has been amazing to me that she had learn and experience manners and good social behavior. Nancy teaches them courtesy and grace on a daily basis. When I would have the opportunity to watch Nancy or Tomas interact with the children, it always amazed me how they handled each situation. They had such wonderful and surprising ideas so I would go home, have some situation occur and think "how would Nancy deal with this" but unfortunately I think it's a gift that Nancy had (and I don't). Nancy is so creative and is always prepared with new activities for the kids to try, My child loved cooking days, yoga days, swimming pool days (during summer) and special events (Valentine’s Day, Christmas (which they make it extra special for the kids), St Patrick’s day etc). The daycare furniture and toys are child size and all materials are accessible for the kids. Words cannot express the thanks my family has for Tomas and Nancy and their family: My Little Tree daycare for the memories and for being part of our family for almost three years.

We feel so incredibly grateful to have found the loving care that is provided by Nancy and Tomas of Edith Vargas Family Child Care. Our 2 daughters have attended this daycare since the age of 3 months (they are now 4 and 2 1/2 years old). I visited many daycares while pregnant with our first but always left with nervous reservation. Nancy and Tomas welcomed me for a visit and my husband and I truly sensed a safe and loving environment from the moment we entered. I could not have anticipated the amount of support they would give to me as a new mom (filling me in on my childs' daily details and giving recommendations on everything from first foods to diaper creams to how to handle toddler tantrums). Nancy's long experience in childcare and her understanding from having children of her own is evident. Over the years they have helped to teach everything from speaking (english & spanish) to potty-training. With our older daughter, she began attending preschool at age 3 (3 times a week) with knowledge of numbers and letters as well as social skills and manners that impressed all teachers. In honesty I know that much of this learning was not in our home but in Nancy & Tomas' home. I would like to give an exact example of our experience. When our elder daughter was ~16 months old, she came down with a viral illness (hand-foot-mouth). Notably we found she had contracted it from a friend at a party - not at daycare. Rather, she began showing symptoms of simply not being herself (not yet exhibiting fever) when Tomas called me to pick her up. I find it quite impressive that his attention to small changes in her mood allowed me to pick her up for her own comfort but also he succeeded in containing this highly contagious virus (no other child fell ill). It is difficult to describe our gratitude and satisfaction with the care provided. It is maybe best exhibited by the fact that when recently decorating a wall with family pictures (grandparents, cousins), Mazie also insisted to have pictures of Tomas and Nancy too. We cannot imagine our lives without them.

We have had an amazing experience with Little Tree Daycare. After much research, we brought our son to Ms. Nancy and Mr. Tomas at six months old. He has flourished under their loving care. He happily leaves my arms and reaches out to Mr. Tomas every morning and is always having fun when I come and pick him up. I am so grateful for the personal attention they show each child. They have partnered with me and helped me get my son through so many major milestones from crawling, to walking, talking and dancing. They truly do an amazing job on developing your child and preparing them for their next stage of life. Additionally, when my son wanted nothing to do with solid food, it was the patience and thorough knowledge of Mr. Tomas who was able to transition my son into chewable foods. They have been great to work with and are very accommodating to our erratic schedules. The facility is always immaculately clean, bright and colorful. It is a surprisingly large center for an at home daycare and there are many different areas and toys for children of all different age groups to play. It is obvious that Ms. Nancy and Mr. Tomas take pride in their jobs and it comes across in their kindness, consideration and patience towards all of the children in their care. I cannot recommend them enough.

Our son started day care at the Little Tree Academy when he was just four months old. We did a lot of research for the different day care options and this one was by far the best option from all the places that we saw – both home day cares and bigger programs. It was the cleanest place (the only place where we were asked to take off our shoes when we visited), had the biggest space and sparked with a positive, safe and loving environment. We are so happy that Ms. Nancy and Mr. Thomas had a spot available for our son when we decided to enroll. As new parents, we were very hesitant as to how our baby will accept a new environment, but from the first week we could see that we had made the right decision. Our son is now two years old and loves going to Ms. Nancy and Mr. Thomas’ day care. We can see that he learns a lot from all the English words and phrases that he knows. We are bilingual and at home we do not speak English to him. Thus, we can truly distinguish what he has learned at home and what he has learned at day care. Ms. Nancy and Mr. Thomas teach the kids the alphabet, numbers, songs, animals, putting things back where they belong, sharing, dancing, and many other things. They know every child’s needs and give each child individual attention. Their daughters are also great with the children and I have often seen them help and play with the children. We could not have asked for a better day care for our son. Without any hesitation, we recommend Ms. Nancy and Mr. Thomas’ day care to any family that wants a safe, loving, clean, learning, and positive environment for their child.

This is an absolutely fantastic daycare. We did a lot of research before selecting a daycare for my son and this is by far the best daycare in the area. I selected it over all the options I had including professional day cares and I have been very happy with the care, love and learning my child received. The day care is run by a very loving family and they have taken care and taught my son a lot. Not only do the kids learn alphabets and numbers, they learn how to be gentle, share and play with others in a very positive environment. the daycare is very large and is very clean and the program is run in a very structured manner. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this daycare to parents.
