My daughter attended Mrs. Novella's from the age of 6 months to 4.5 years (6-18 mths at the family's First-Step daycare). The daycare provided a very sound foundation from which my daughter's education was built. The teaching certainly played a big part in preparing her for the successful life she enjoys today. The facility was clean and safe, providing a visually stimulating, tactile, physical, and emotionally supportive environment. The meals were delicious, plentiful, and nutritious. Always in learning mode, there were continuous creative happenings at the facility. The field trips were varied, fun and informative. Parents were always welcomed and encouraged to participate. Fond memories and laughter ensue when our family looks at the numerous pictures and videos, and re-enact our adventures there. The real beauty is- we never really left. After 27 years, our family along with countless other families that span throughout the years, continue to attend Novella's family and daycare events.

We really like the owner, Ms. Novella. She is great with the kids. She has been involved in professional childcare for a long time including involvement at the State level in licensing daycares. Ms. Esmerelda is Grace's favorite teacher and Ms. Juana has a special way with the infants. The hours are fantastic for busy families 8-6 and they follow the government schedule for holidays with an extended break in the summer and over Xmas/New Years which is convenient for us. The kids are exposed to immersion Spanish from Esmerelda and especially Juana- yes, my 2 yr old speaks better Spanish than I do. We get a folder full of creative art/learning projects that the kids work on every month that is very cute. Prices are through the roof for childcare, but 4 Steps seems very competitively priced. There are no partial day or partial week discounts, but at least we aren't locked into a mortgage.....I mean monthly payment. ;) The price does go down for 2 yrs old and above. The only drawback I can think of that has been a deal breaker for other parents are that sometimes the extended breaks are changed or we get informed at the last minute. This makes planning difficult, but not impossible and the benefits far outweigh the negative. Overall I'm very satisfied with our decision of who molds our child's behavior and would recommend them to anyone seeking a positive environment for your children to learn and grow in.
