Book of Life is an approved for preschool students ages 2 - 4 years old, by the Maryland State Department of Education, office of Childcare. Kindergarten - 5th grade is a registered Christian school/facility also recognized by the Maryland State Department of Education. Abeka Book's systematic phonics program teaches students to read at an early age. Students also receive strong character-building reading selections. For elementary age students, spelling, vocabulary, and poetry help students improve their ability to read, write, think creatively and speak. Penmanship is taught at age 4 with their name, small words and the alphabet. Cursive writing is introduced in grade 1 and improved throughout the other elementary grades.
