Cradlerock Children's Center

Cradlerock Children’s Center (CCC) is a non-profit child care center and preschool serving families in and around Howard County, Maryland. We are... committed to excellence, offering a high-quality education and care program that nurtures and stimulates our young learners. We also know that children need to feel safe and loved in order to reach out to those around them. By fostering positive and nurturing interactions, our teachers help children build a bond of trust and caring, which forms a foundation for learning throughout life. Finally, Cradlerock Children’s Center is committed to serving families of all income levels, particularly those from the Owen Brown neighborhood surrounding our center. When financially able, we offer scholarships to those of limited means and accept vouchers from the state Department of Social Services. We also offer an English Immersion program at a nominal fee. This enables children to learn English before they enter the public school system, and benefits children who would otherwise be unable to attend preschool.

Harding Rd Little Children's Place

About us Welcome to Harding Rd Little Children's Place, our home daycare and preschool in Laurel, MD! I’m the main caregiver and lead teacher and I... have a decade of experience in child care and early childhood education. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Psychology. I'm also CPR and First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your child is safe at all times! After having our own kids, my husband and I realized what it felt like to leave your most valuable and loved possession in someone else's hands. It was very difficult, so we decided to open our own daycare, where kids are loved all day and where we can promote an active learning environment. Our facility is equipped with an indoor gym, cafeteria/common area, books, toys, learning posters and rugs. We also have outdoor activities and occasional field trips. Curriculum At our daycare, we use a movement-based philosophy and our pre-K curriculum is taught through a traditional and non-traditional active learning approach. We also follow the Play-based learning principles, allowing kids to learn through play and educational activities. Our program includes yoga, gym time, modern body exercise, discovery time, traditional learning and free play. We have a fully certified teacher on staff. We have Spanish classes (however, please note that we’re not a bilingual program) and teach American Sign Language. I addition to English, I speak Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi and at your request, I can expose your little one to these foreign languages. We are dedicated to helping our little students to enhance their skills they will need to succeed throughout their early educational years! Program We are open year round from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time and part-time care for children as young as 10 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We can also offer Drop-in care for your occasional needs. Our daycare is a peanut free environment and we serve milk and snacks. Location Harding Rd Little Children's Place is in the Scaggsville area of Laurel, MD. We're off Harding Rd and a few minutes away from these major roads: The Interstate 95, Columbia Pike (US-29) and Sandy Spring Rd (route 198). Please send us an email or call to book a tour, we would love to meet your family!

Ms. Ashley's Family Child Care

My Mission I maintain a level of professionalism and take my job very seriously. I commit myself to providing quality child care with the use of... programs that enhance early childhood education and development. Children are exposed to developmentally appropriate activities, learn in a creative, playful, and fun environment; and are encouraged to discover and express their own uniqueness, interests, and talents; which will help to build their self-esteem, confidence, a love of learning, and lasting friendships. Our Program Children learn best through play and experiences. I believe that children learn by doing, getting messy, investigating their questions, and problem solving with their friends. They learn by playing games, using their imaginations, expressing their emotions, creating, and exploring the world around them. I set up intentional play activities and explorations that meet the needs of individual students. I question and extend their thinking and play to help them learn and grow. I provide high quality education and care for every student who comes in my classroom. I intentionally plan and organize the classroom so students have the opportunity to develop in the areas of social emotional, language and literacy, math, science, creative arts, fine motor, and gross motor. It is my goal for students to develop the dispositions and skills to become lifelong learners and be successful in kindergarten and life (both socially and academically). Curriculum We use the professionally developed Mother Goose Time curriculum for our learning. This curriculum aligns with the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards and supports our philosophy of learning through play.
