About Us Welcome to Mrs. Carmen Family Daycare, our nurturing family child care and preschool program in Los Angeles, CA! I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 30 years of experience in early childhood education. I run my daycare with my 3 assistants and they have 13 years of combined experience. All staff members are CPR and First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your little one is safe and secure at all times! I’m also a mom of 2 myself, so I can relate to your needs and concerns when it comes to finding the best daycare for your child. In our home, we treat every child as if they were our own! Curriculum We believe that children learn through play, so we follow the Play-based learning principles. This approach has been proven to be an effective way to develop a child’s valuable skills such as socio-emotional and cognitive skills. We also have educational, yet fun extra-curricular activities in store for them like Arts & Crafts, Singing/Guitar/Music, Story Time and Exercise. In addition to English, we can also teach your child the Spanish Language (this is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become bilingual). Program Our home-based daycare and preschool is open year round between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide full-time care for infants as young as 4 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 4 years old. We serve organic food to all children in our care (breakfast, lunch and snacks are all included in the tuition!) and due to possible allergies, we run a peanut and tree-nut free environment. You commute to work will be fast and convenient since we have easy access to these major roads: Marina Fyw (route 90), Lincoln Blvd (route 1) and the I-405. Temple Akiba Early Childhood Center

Temple Akiba Early Childhood Center, is a place where teachers, parents, their children, Rabbi Zachary R. Shapiro And Cantor Lonee Frailich, join... together to build a strong Jewish inspired community for children to be in. Collaboratively, we have created an environment where all children, from all cultures and religious backgrounds, are welcome to be themselves, excite their curiosity, explore the many languages of the world around them and have the freedom to choose the areas of their interest from a variety of thought-provoking activities. Our community of teachers and parents share a common belief that together we can continue to establish an environment of strong identity and belonging where sharing and exchanging our knowledge and resources with each other becomes a process of our daily routine. TA ECC's educational approach is a weave of most recent child development theories. When combined together, they create a harmonious and sensible developmentally appropriate curriculum. Our main emphasis is to allow children to explore and develop their emotional, physical, cognitive and social qualities at their own pace. Starting from the age of two and transitioning through the age of five, we focus our teaching styles on developing healthy habits. We facilitate and promote appropriate social skills, close friendship, communication and language skills, self-expression, positive self-esteem, physical growth (fine and gross motor skills) and respect of one another. We pride ourselves in the way that we value each child’s abilities and potentials, listen to their amazing ideas and help create a map of knowledge for them to explore at their own pace so they can achieve success. Our main goal is to meet the needs of each individual child, parent, and teacher. Together, we strive in creating a supportive, nurturing and cognitively inviting environment for all to be in. We welcome you to TA ECC!

First School

Welcome to The First School, a private preschool in Santa Monica, California. We are a relationship-based, developmental preschool, offering toddler... groups, preschool and pre-k / transitional kindergarten programs for children 16 months to five years. The First School celebrates individuality and diversity, and serves all types of families across Santa Monica and West Los Angeles. Established in 1975, The First School mission remains fundamental to the school today: To cultivate each facet of the whole-child – social, emotional, physical, intellectual – allowing each child to reach their highest potential on their own timeline, according to their unique strengths, challenges and interests; to inspire children to learn through play and meaningful activities guided by our passionate and creative staff; And to nurture a respectful, fun, warm environment for children, their families and teachers. Our daily goal is to make every child feel safe, inspired, and loved. As a result, children leave The First School with a passion for learning, expanded creativity, meaningful exposure to a broad range of interests, the tools to make satisfying social connections, and the emotional resilience to welcome change and transition. We cherish this magical time in the lives of children and their families. In our warm, relaxed and supportive atmosphere, families as well as children thrive. One of the things we find most gratifying, is to hear about the many circles of connections that last long after the children have graduated; Alumni children and parents often return to visit and report that they have kept their First School friends, and First School memories, for life. We look forward to welcoming you and your child as a part of our family!
