Tender Tots
Aletheia McCaskill is a licensed family child care provider in Baltimore, MD. Aletheia Mccaskill cares for children as young as 12 weeks through 12 years old. About Us: Tender Tots is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. We are committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We have created an environment filled with patience towards the understanding of your child's needs. We encourage positive goals and help develop self-esteem and awareness. We have extensive experience with children with special needs including gestational tubing (feeding tube), mild-severe handicaps, apnea monitors, behavior disorders & speech/physical challenges. We welcome outside programs such as Maryland Infant and Toddler Program to aid in the full potential of our children. I'm Aletheia McCaskill. Many call me, "Miss Pooh", an old childhood name & easier for the children to pronounce. I have been married for almost 20 years & the very proud mother of 2 very special young ladies. I have my Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and my Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development, Magna Cum Laude. After 7 years of serving in the private work sector as a computer analyst/programmer, I diligently began serving the child care community. It has been a wonderful journey for the past 17 years. I am an active member of NAFCC (National Association for Family Child Care), SEIU, Local 500-Child Care Division [currently serving as a Leader on Bargaining Committee and as Chairwoman, Baltimore City/County Regional C.O.P.E.], Level 6 of Maryland Child Care Credential, Maryland EXCELS, Certified in Emergency and Disaster Preparedness and I provide support services & child care to local homeless shelters several days a week. I truly believe that it takes a village/community to raise a child. I commend the curious child. Self-discovery and building social skills are as equally important as learning the fundamentals of reading, writing and math. My passion for early child care doesn't stop here at daycare. I love mentoring & my newest adventures are advancing state government policies that pertain to early learning/child development & writing children's books (only in the mental process for now). My philosophy of education is extensive. In the largest sense, I believe education serves many purposes. It builds character & connects us to the unknown. Yes, to some degree, education can lead to financial prosperity. But, the measure of wealth can only be defined by an individual's character. Please send an email for more information.
The Joy of Learning Center II
Choose a child care center with a superior academic program. The Joy of Learning Center in Baltimore and Lanham, Maryland, is much more than a day care center. We are a center of exploration. Here at The Joy of Learning Center, we believe that children can do a lot. We take pride in providing the highest quality academic program available. It is the role of the caregivers to build upon those things that children are capable of. Our Philosophy: We believe that most of life's learning occurs in first five years. Because each child learns at his or her own pace, our staff will look to him or her to determine the next stage of development. This "can-do" approach is the basis of our philosophy. Time and research has shown us that the main component of quality child care is trained staff. We employ some of the best trained staff, all of whom value, respect, and sensitively respond to the needs that children hold. We feel that the time they are away from Mommy and Daddy must be a blossoming time. We respect parents as the most significant providers of care and nurturance. We are pleased to serve as extended family members. Enroll your child in the finest educational development programs in Baltimore, Maryland. The Joy of Learning Center provides extensive child care programs for all ages. The Joy of Learning Center has developed an age-appropriate academic curriculum and interesting year-round awareness units that are used to formulate fun-filled learning activities. Our daily routine includes activities that promote the development of gross and fine motor skills.
