Robin's Nest Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Gaithersburg, MD. Our family child care program is run by Renee Shuman Powell. We are open from 7:00am until 6:00pm and care for children as young as 0 weeks through 4 years old, including children with special needs. We offer both full time and part time child care. We took our 3 month old here for a few months before we moved out of state but would have kept sending her if we had stayed in the area. Even with COVID-19 we felt very safe with their precautions they put in place and we knew our baby was being well taken care of while she was there! Everyone there was extremely helpful and nice!

My son was cared for at Robin's Nest from 4 months old to 15 months old. I truly felt like he was cared for everyday and felt a wave of happiness everyday when he smiled reaching out for his teachers at drop off and not wanting to leave at pick up :) Renee and her staff are accommodating, friendly, caring, responsive and professional. We enrolled our 5 year old at Robin's Nest for her remaining Pre K year and summer. This program is fantastic! What a well organized, loving and caring place in a home setting. Renee and her staff communicate very well and I always felt that my daughter was being well cared for.

Our daughter Macie started going here at 7 months old when we moved to the area. This was the perfect mix between a commercial daycare and an at home daycare. The house was built with the daycare in mind so the facility is the perfect setup. Lots of room for the kids to play outside and easy pickup and dropoff. I took my daughter there when she was less than a year. Robin's Nest was the first child care that she went to after she was born. They made the transition so easy. I love the app they use to keep parents in the loop. I love their attention to detail. From the cute backpacks they give the kids to the embroidered tag with their name on it for the backpack. We have been a part of the Robins Nest family for over 5 years. My oldest is about to enter kindergarten. We have always been very happy with the care that our children have received. When we originally looked at Robin's Nest for our 3 month old daughter I was hesitant.
