Since 2007 the De Colores Spanish Immersion Program has grown to include an infant/young toddler, toddler, and pre-K program. At De Colores the child sets the rhythm. The teachers provide the instruments and the safe environment in which the child can explore and discover, little by little, his/her community and the world. Play is essential to development as it contributes to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being of the child. It is the principle means used at De Colores to allow the child to experience and express his/her feelings, develop personality, and learn to interact with others.
